The targeting pulse should definitely be consuming energy instead, that way it can last longer than five seconds and you can actually find a fucking boar when you need it. Just make it drain quickly so it canāt be abused.
I like your reasoning, butā¦ Thatād be hell of a nerf. I hate thermal vision as you canāt see much of the landscape. While in the movies it would be cool, for a human used to normal vision, playing like that feels non-native and would destroy the experience of the game.
Iād would say though, target isolation and target scanning should put a marker on the minimap, just like pred spotting does
