Do ya’ll prefer the Tobey Maguire version of where he has organic webs? Or Web Shooters like every other adaptation? I’m sorta split on it, while I do like the web shooters and different webs you can produce, it gotta be a pain in the ass to reload cartridges mid swing/fight. Then again, the organic webs are very unique and he doesn’t run out, but it only limits to the types of webs he can make.

I really didn’t like Tobey as Peter or Spider-Man, he’s just a “passive” sad dude, wich totally changes personality with the suit on but in a strange way, he didn’t even feel human to me, but might be dialogue’s fault.
Garfield was a lot better imho, he was believable as Peter and funny as Spider-Man.
Anyway,
I unusually prefer the web-shooter,
but in the movies makes more sense the “organic fluid web”;
in using the organic web the narrative doesn’t have to justify something almost sillier like a teenager that can invent an almost magical matter, super resistant and that sticks to everything.
Then again, I think it depends on the movie in question and his context,
like in the MCU it’s okay to have the shooters because everything is over the top,
while in Raimi’s the organic web is far more fitting.
For ASM I’d say both could have fitted, but dunno.

and artificial webs is very non-superheromutantey. It makes more sense when hes modifying the webs into electric traps and whatnot atleast. He’s not spidery enough without organic webs.

Without organic webs he’s not very spiderlike. He’d just be sticky goo man. Simple mistake by the creators… like batman having a revolving door of orphaned boys as sidekicks.

Toby played an incredible nerdy Peter with a confident Spiderman (knowing he isn’t overtly confident in his other life).
Organic webs made me think Toby’s was super cool cause he didn’t need web shooters.
Also was dope how it made him somewhat spider like outside of wall crawling.

Web shooters are the better idea because it solidifies Peter as the genius he was invented to be and having him spin biological webs takes that down a few notches, because over time, he develops so many other cool web weapons. Also, it takes away from the Venom symbiote being special, because the symbiote spun its own webs and that was a big deal.
Tobey McGuire is my favorite Spider-Man with Tom Holland coming in a close second. Andrew Garfield certainly didn’t do a bad job, but the movies he was in were very bad.
