Spot Spam is Extremely Strong, Add a Cooldown=Skillshot

Hello there and thanks for reading!

My Perspective of this game is from playing fireteam exclusively on PS4. I have not played a single match as predator. First things first, This game is a blast, yes it needs some love and tweaks but I think you guys are on to something that I want to support and watch grow into a competitive and fun stealth game. Now that thats out of the way…

IDEA:

What if the spot button was something you couldnt spam? it would make it a valuable resource in a fight and turn it into a skillshot

Adding a cooldown to the spot mechanic not only makes it a skill shot and a valuable resource, but I believe it would also change gameplay drastically. It would change the feel of the game from hunting the predator to being less safe in a jungle with a invisible beast that is hard to spot

I would maybe start at a 7-10 second cooldown

Id love to hear your thoughts, and everyone’s thoughts.

TLDR: Suggestion: Turn the Spot Spam into a Skillshot with a Cooldown.

tagging the predator needs to be removed completely

you should only be able to point out the areas where you see/saw him

It really is extremely powerful.

What if there was a tracking dart gun with not alot of ammo, this would also add a skill shot.

If the Predator was tagged by the dart gun they become spotted and will have the green outline for a good while.

I think Nerfing the spot mechanic in someway would be a step in the right direction, wheter that be removing the green outline completely and the ability all together, or adding a cooldown, or a weapon that would spot like a tracer dart/tracking dart.

I play on PC.

As a Predator, playing against a team of 4 PC players is very different than playing against 4 PS4 players. The PC players see you very fast and as good as always. You can’t get close to the team unless you play Berserker with a combistick and net weapon.

Against PS4 players it is easier. They don’t see you as fast or use the “Spot” button less.

I also think you should limit the spotting. Either with a cool down or that a cloaked Predator can’t be marked or that only the scout can mark a Predator. That would be his special ability. The other classes could only mark the Predator with a Perk.

The offer on EPIC brings more players but they are all PC players. I will take a break with PHG and I say this as a PC player.

I like the game very much but have real fears that it will end up like Evolve :-(

Predator shouldn’t be able to get spotted while he’s 100% invisible.

Or remove marking of cloaked preds from game. If spotting will not mark a cloaked, idle pred then cooldown is not required for the ability

I think each class should get a unique skill with a certain cooldown. For the recon class it could be spotting every 30 secs.
