Spotting is broken

Ah, that old issue about spotting. Hasn’t been mentioned in a while, guess we’ve all been too busy and frustrated by all the other bugs we’ve had to deal with. But I saw an interesting video today by @Sharpy_47b and what really stood out to me was that the Predator player was almost permanently spotted. Take a look;

How were those Predator players ever supposed to escape or launch a fresh attack, when the Fireteam could basically see where they were at all times? The Predator only gets a short alert to let them know they’ve been spotted, but I think there needs to be some indicator to let Predator players know when they’re visible to FT through the spotting mechanic. A small icon or colour change to the radar to let them know maybe? But something needs to change here, this is beyond unfair @OldKingHamlet

This isn’t to take away from the amazing sniper skills and accuracy displayed in the video, because the gameplay is hella impressive 👌🏼💯

The spotter special for the recon is broken atm. It makes them slow almost permanently

spotting is strong but full invis at 45 meters as well, they can get rid of spotting but at the same time of the full invisibility while moving

The “Spotter” specialization perks slows him down. But in this video I wasn’t using it, I used the “Sniper” spec. perk that increases the dmg to Pred when he’s for like 15%

When u are spotted as Pred - you are being told “spotted” the whole spot time. Even if u are marked by Recon with Tracker perk (6s spot)

@SkooLBoY_SkePtiK tested it recently, I think it’s longer than 6s? I think some more testing needs to be done considering this latest update has broken so much, especially when it comes to the perks that buff damage. Recon gets a damage buff with Sniper Specialisation, plus Bane and then whatever bonus Leader gives to the squad.

Interesting, whats the difference between Sniper and Overwatch specialisation dmg Bonus? Because Overwatch is harder to trigger, so dmg Bonus should be bigger
