But that’s the issue here, you can just triple click in an area you think the predator is and he lights up because you guessed right. 1 spot per 2 seconds is fair, I think. You can’t spam it until you guess right, but its still common enough you don’t have to worry about using it and missing.
Spotting is staying live with it
I think spotting should I don’t think you should be spotted while your already cloaked. They need to tweeked it a bit. And there should be cool down for chain spotting. Their going in the right direction balance wise though. I think it’s gonna take some time.
Nobody has anything against spotting, as in throwing an eye icon in the direction you want your team to look - its marking of cloaked preads that ppl are going apeshit about. It nonsens, renders preds stealth useless quz PC FT can spam spott as much as it wants. Add preds constant vocal activiti when cloaked, and its not hard to just spam spot the general area you think he might be in

There’s nothing wrong with the spot feature it’s just that you can spam it incessantly which makes it a little ridiculous. Mix that with how you can spot a cloaked motionless Predator (which is supposed to be completely invisible btw) and you’ve got an overused slightly op ability.
They should either remove the ability to spot a motionless Predator in cloak or significantly reduce the duration of the tag. There’s already enough pressure to go all out after the fireteam asap with how short the round and mission objectives are.

The reality is guys if illfonic wanted to sort it they would have done but its part of the game just like your target isolation is that shows you were ft location is up to an incredible 7x ingame and boars to health up full health god knows how many times!
Or the FT can cover themselves in mud and render that ability useless.

Or you could just be good and slow ingame pace not rush in and be spotted.
And then the FT will finish their mission within 4 minutes and you’ll be chasing them across the map.
There are more ft players out there with no mics than there is with mics, having spotter is to help those without mics illfonic knows aswell as the next guy taking their eyes out from communication will be catastrophic for the game!

That’s a stupid excuse. This kind of game is designed to be played with coordination and communication. Even with spot spammers I still DESTROY teams that dont use coms.

it a fair point though. having them look in the general direction i think is sufficient without an outline.
they made a cloaking mechanic to be faithful to the movie and ramp up tension by having the monster difficult to spot. im assuming they also balanced the predator based on him being able to maneuver somewhat difficult to see. then they implement a mechanic to negate this so what is the advantage of being cloaked you say? remain still… they guess spot you even while still at 100 % invisibility.
if that isn’t imbalanced enough that is all balanced for ps4. if you are playing aginst PC ft you are in for a world of hurt.
i just dont buy that ps4 players need literal wall hacks to play a game where the enemy is actually supposed to be invisible as a matter of balance. the eye spot and compass should get them all looking in the right direction then they can use their fucking eyes to see the cloaked predator, which lets face it is going to be bright white anyways cuz the cloak is shit.
Nearly all the anti spotting replies are “Spot spamming highlights me, so lets get rid of me being able to be found.” Get rid of its spammability should be the answer. You can’t just ping an area enough times until you get lucky. But when I see you, and you think you’re being stealthy but you ain’t I’m going to mark you after I get a shot or two in.
Theres probably some funky way they could program it so that you can spam the general marking but if the first hit doesnt tag a predator there’s some kinda CD before the green mark could pop up on the pred to remove some of its spam-ability if that is a problem.
Spotting cloaked predators is staying, the cloak runs for an insanely long time if your using the bow which is like… every predator, not being able to spot one in cloak would be every single time some pred players choose to engage.
Also I dunno, count your blessings, you get a message when you’ve been spotted, it should just be you getting spotted, it’s not like the FT gets a warning they’ve got giant red diamonds over their heads in the middle of a fight with npc mooks so the pred can single them out easily.

Dude spotting has to stay this game would be even more of a cakewalk for predators more then it already is! He’s been getting some serious buffs
