Seriously, I have the spam spot button assigned to my mouse - its even more deadly that wayXD

Myself and many others asked for this to be removed from game 1000 times now, since the trail days. Illfonic ignored all those requests. Not refused to do it, not defend this idiotic mechanic in any way at all – just simply ignored us. I think its a lost battle. Its the most stupid and unfair game mechanic I have ever seen in a game, let alone a game about a stealth alien…
For every one saying “oh, but the pred has its target isolation bla bla bla…” – no, you have never played as pred if that is your response. Target isolation gives only general direction where FT is, and has a massive cool down, that means cannot be spammed like spotting.
This idiotic mechanic gives FT luxury to spam spot the are and mark cloaked preds, destroying the stealth gameplay. Its unfair and in my mind is a wallhack.

Maybe if we all start spamming forums, demanding for this imbecile mechanic to be removed, they will at least acknowledge that the community has a problem with it. Mayby…

Nothing to do with that. Marking of cloaked preds is a unfair in game wallhack that needs to be removed asap! Its a broken game mechanic

You mean like predator can kill you trough multiple walls with AOE explosions or even SEE you trough walls even better then with spot? Even if I use smoke + termal decoy and you can still see me with the predator? Isolation that you can see me across the map? Remove those blinders bud…

Predators did not have vision where they could see the human across the map, they did not see humans that used mud (so we should be completely invisible when covered in mud, predators did not have magical vision that put symbols above human heads that could be seen trough a combination of smoke and thermal decoy (making both those things completely broken in game) and also walls.

Now this is just about vision. I can go into how much damage they can take, abilities they have and so on. Its like people only see what the fireteam have but fail to see the far superior vision mode the predator has.

ii just cannot believe they are not taking any of the feedback seriously. This has ruined the game for many.
Its pissed me off so much, I refuse to play the game at all, and it’s the LAST time I will ever preorder a game on the PS4.

I’ve been playing as a predator all day and will say theres absolutely nothing wrong with spotted only few times i was spotted in 9 hours playing as the predator, what does need to happen is the predator players needs rewarding a little more verintanium because i earnt fuck all. Lol

I dont know how to fix spotting. Its an absolute nightmare to play against a team that constantly has you tagged especially if your load out is focused on anything other than melee brawling.

I’m wondering if it should work like this, reminiscent of Battlefield 5:

  • If tagged dont sticky the pred just change the icon.
  • Pred no longer gets alerted as a balance.
  • Have accuracy be a factor. Uncloacked preds have a bigger spotting hit box versus cloaked. Makes spot spam harder without giving predators too much of and advantage.

2 second cool down between spots per player. Spot lasts for 0.5 seconds. It removes the spam just still allowing accurate spots to let the randos know whats going on.

Two whole days playing predator and not really had any issues with the spotting yes i’ve been spotted but you deal with it, just get good ffs.

I think I may have posted here before. But fuck it. People love to constantly complain, so let me constantly post.

I’m seeing that Players that generally suck tend to complain the most. And while I don’t think I’m the best Player, I’m definitely very good and have had tremendous success as the Predator. Even though I’ve fared well overall, learning how to properly use our favorite Yautja included a lot of growing pains. I was getting annihilated quickly. Then something clicked and I’ve gotten better since.

I attribute that success to Movement. Even as a Berserker where everyone complains that they’re too slow. What many fail to realize is that the Berserker’s slower overall Movement makes for using Leaps as an Engagement Tool. Combine Leaping with Bunny Hops around Fireteams and you’ve got some powerful Tools at your disposal.

I’ve also been Spotted dozens of times, especially when someone is downed and they spam the Spotting Feature. I just start Jumping around everything, therefore confusing everyone when they think they have the drop on me.
