Steam needs to link an epic account.
And Epic needs to link to the steam account.
But why
It’s the same for PS Players they need to link an epic to play with pc players.
I don’t know why, but it is what it is right now. I got one or two steam players so far as friends.
Because cross play itself is a nightmare best forgotten
Even cross platform causes more problems than the sum of its proposed benefits
