Stop notification/location of FT reinforcements to Predator

Guys, in regard to the Fireteam reinforcements, I think it’s a bit unfair that the Predator not only gets a notification that reinforcements have been called, but also where they will be coming in. More often than not, it seems the Predator goes directly there and lies in wait to slaughter the team. If the Predator gets a notification (which I think is wrong to begin with) then it should’t also get the location. The Pred should have to hunt for the reinforced FT, just like at the beginning of the game. Think of it another way - Dutch was able to sneak off and had a whole bunch of time to fortify his position and then lure the Pred to him… the game removes that whole premise when it gives up the FT reinforcement call and location… Flag away

The Predator has 15 seconds from the time the notification pops until the FT arrives. If the Predator beat you there and lied in wait they most likely followed you or already had an idea of where the radio was located.

The Predator can also sometimes cut you off by getting set up between the radio and the area where the FT was killed, because chances are they will bee-line back to the same spot if the objective is not complete after reinforcements arrive.

I can’t take this serious.

I feel that at this point, common sense is a super power. Ignorance is way more common.

The premise of my post is that the Predator shouldn’t get a notification/location at all. Not that it followed someone, or somehow knew where the radio was - good on Pred if it does that. My point is it shouldn’t happen at all. If it happens with the radio, then it should get a notification/location right at the beginning of the game - in which case, we’d all stop playing.

Predator is telepath it’s new lore produced by Dev. He know when he spotted and marked and can connect to human radio by force of will. A Dark Jedi!

I think technically the Predator has been in this jungle for a while, and in which case they would most likely already know where the radio is at.

If not, maybe his super iWatch can detect the outgoing radio signal and pin point it?

Either way, there should also perhaps be a full blown chopper drop off scene for the reinforcements. I think that would be easy enough for the Predator to track, and we end up in basically the same conundrum.

I don’t have a problem with a copter drop in. But again my point is that the Pred doesn’t get the location at the beginning of the game, so why should it happen midstream? If he can spot the copter and run to it, fine, but a notification and location is too much.

so. you want the predator to have no clue reinforcements on the way. so you can run around and what? get away scot free. it takes almost no time to summon in the fireteam.t his thread and post is a joke … lol.

An observant Predator can find the radio ahead of time. And I think since the Predator has been in the jungle for a while before the FT shows up, that perhaps it should already be on his map. But for game play purposes that would bad.

It is kind of like FT parry and spotting. Quirky and does not really make a lot of realistic sense, but there for game play.

just like the ft being reinforced and appearing out of thin air as static animations summoned from the dead by airwaves from a radio … yeah

yeah this is definite ignorance thats for sure … lol.

Or he might have advanced technology to detect it?

Get away from what scot free? I’ve played enough 3 minute matches to know, any decent predator seems to be able to find the FT in no time at all. Why should it get even more of an advantage with location/notification info? If the FT goes back on mission, they will be found - especially by the Preds who seem to have ESP no matter what. I’m talking about a basic game play function that is tipped in favor of the Pred - not the Predator’s so called super powers, or knowledge of the jungle.

There are too much in fact. Predator wast able to do all tricks he can do in game. Or i just passed parts where is he able to jump on 5-7 meters height in cinema and other games. I’m not really aganist anything including deadly hurting level difference. Game must be dinamical. Still when you losing 40 hp from arrow that’s hit ground near you don’t feels right. And about radio… predator don’t use alient primitive technology and to track radio messages he need to know right wave one of few hundreds(correct me if i’m mistaking).

well. him knowing they reinforced. you died once … so why should you have no info given too the pred after he slaughtered you all. or so he doesnt know you are coming back to prep against it? you mean the esp just like ft spam spotting the pred it works both ways. ft is easy mode. if hes managed to murder you all too the point of reinforcement you can still wreck a pred even if he gets too the zone with a competent team. so you want him not to know all the guys are alive so you can do the objectives scot free or be able to run to the chopper and escape. thats what i mean by getting away scot free

It does baffle me how an advanced being with superior tracking technology, who is able to pick up and analyse sound patterns and waves over large distances, and detect heat signatures and UV light. Is able to pick up a nearby analog radio signal. Simply absurd.

Easiest way to stop notifications of reinforcements is to get rid of reinforcements 😁

I think the Predators would have the ability to identify and track radio signals, even if they themselves do not use them. The Predators have been coming to the planet for a long time, and are probably more familiar with our tech than we think.

But if you do not like that explanation, what about the FT has to use the radio and then place some smoke/markers on the ground to mark where the chopper needs to drop off the reinforcements. Predator could then head for the smoke and/or just follow the sound of the chopper.

Side note: Arrows do AoE damage?

You can’t be serious?
So, you can respawn all your dead teammates and you can’t at least give the Predator the chance to counter it?
Really?
From my point of view Reinforcements is still OP and should be limited.
No, the Predator needs to know the location and needs to know when Reinforcements come, otherwise I would definetlly won;t play this hence it is really unfair…

I don’t understand why people have some need to try and establish realism in a video game that is completely science fiction to begin with just to compromise balance of the game mechanics. If you want realism then all the FT members should be slowed down by 75%, tire out 2x faster, and get killed by AI in 4 shots.
