Stop using smoke against predator please

Seriously, you’re just helping the predator. Every time my team smokes the second they hear the predator and it makes me want to leave the match

I have no idea, but the predator can clearly see you through them and the fireteam can’t see the predator
Maybe they do something to AI?

Thermal does help, but it’s much easier for the predator to see you through smokes than it is for the fireteam to see the predator

I use the smokes for when I get the body to hide it from the npc since it seems to disrupt there line of sight other than that

I only use them when I need to secure the pred body. Other than that at the end of the match i just throw them while im running towards the chopper not near ot lol

You should never use thermal or smoke against the predator. Even if those are combined, the predator can still see you trough BOTH of them. The display above your head is visible trough smoke and thermal. As it is, never used them against the predator as that handicaps your team.

Like @Xan84 said. Predator can still find you by the red icon above your head once they scan you.

Smokes and thermal are pretty much a waste of an equipment slot for FT, at least as far as anti-Predator tactics go in my opinion.

If you have room for nothing else, I suppose it is technically better than nothing.

But either one by themselves is barely an inconvenience for Predator, and both together are worse for the FT than the Predator in my opinion.

To answer your guys question.

Smoke is used to make predator unable to see without his mask… so realistically its pretty much useless when he has his mask on but if you break his mask… he is unable to detect your heartbeat and stuff…

I dunno the smoke hasn’t stopped the AI from tearing up the Predator body or my team from my experience.

I think if you have been scanned, Predator can still see the red icon above your head even without the mask. But I am not sure on that.

Okay so then if your plan is to shoot off Predator’s mask and then blind him, your team, and the AI, then smoke is the way to go!

Not a fan of smoke. Just makes it harder to spot the pred. Thermals can be useful but also distort your vision so it’s also harder to see the pred.
