Strategy difference

Strategy while playing as Predator: Drop in, locate the fireteam. Trigger the nearest camp alarm to get AI at that location stirred up. Blow up any ammo or med kits i find. Track fireteam, if there’s one separated, pick him off before the others can get there, if not wait till they’re in the open to try to force them to separate.
They separate, pick off the furthest man without taking too much damage. Rest working close together now, go farm pigs for later.
Stay at distance and soften up with caster, bow, combistick or smart disc, whatever ranged options you brought.
Get one or two more down, go heal. Reinforcements triggered, rush radio and pummel fireteam to soften up completely stocked healthy Reinforcements. Go heal. They chased, run away to better location and heal again.
Find fireteam, kill off guy you find all by his lonesome. Chopper exfil triggered, rush fireteam. Suicide run, either the AI and me can do enough damage to kill, or they kill me and I arm the bomb.
I die, trigger bomb, fireteam defuse and tbags me. I die, trigger bomb, fireteam exfils before detonation. I lose.
I win, I get shot to shit trying to claim skulls of FT by loads of AI that just helped me stop them. Match over.

FT Strategy: Drop in, stick with team. Rush objective. Shoot Predator. Complete objective. Rush exfil. Kill suicidal Predator. Exfil.

yeah my difference right here is that if the FT went for reinforce i’ve usually already found it during camp alarm searching and i wait for it to trigger then i just smother them in bear traps kill all of them and close out the game games i’ve lost is well before this point

Well there’s obviously lots of variety in predator style and play. Usually due to the listed method being completely useless against competent FTs.
There’s always a trade off with pred, spend time finding and trapping the radio (and hoping they don’t spot and destroy the traps) and destroying as much supplies as you can on the map. That gives FT time to rush objective and have nothing to stop them from pushing past you to exfil.

Not much in FT strategy either. You can obviously, put a lot more thought and effort into playing FT. Seeing as planned, coordinated, strategic fireteams are…well…almost unbeatable. Why bother?

Stay together radius of less than 20 meters.
Assault rifles high powered and bring HP shotguns.
No minigun or special equipment.
must have at least one or two Gears with the thing that spots pred.
Have at least one FM and Protect the FM.
Bait a team member if the pred is around.
Mud Up.
Disarm Pred within 4 seconds of it starting or just run.
