So the game was honestly build so the pred was supposed to be a threat and scary to the fire team. The game has built in mechanics that are not going to get used. For example the pred can not down a player 2 times and then finally stealth kill them.
The pred had their caster and combi stick nerfed. Honestly I think the best option at this point would be to make the pred more of a threat and limit it on when it can finally kill off a FT member for good.
An example of this would be to make the preds attacks do more damage. Make it so the pred can’t collect a trophy on a FT member unless they are downed for atleast 30 seconds or they have been downed 2 times already. This give the pred a reason to try to stealth kill makes it so the pred follows their “CODE” and all which it does mention on the tutorials ect and if you watched the movies or read the comics they have an honor code ect ect.
This gives the fireteam plenty of options to fight back. Plenty of time to escape. The pred can play the long game or try to knock them down as fast as possible ect ect. It opens up a lot more variety to the gameplay. The fireteam would actually be afraid of the pred cause the pred can take them out easier but has to do it a lot more often.
I only say this cause in the movies the pred plays with the people he is hunting to test them if they are a good trophy to claim or not.
This is my suggestion. I see no reason why it wouldn’t work.
and yes I have thought of the pred camping a downed person to get more people down. This already happens. and the rest of the fireteam would have to consider leaving them and moving on or trying to save their team mate. Hence the pred can collect the trophy of a downed FT member after 30 seconds. This could also open up options for the FT to bait the pred to come down for the trophy so they can shoot him ect ect ect.
