Aside from my suggestion to remove fireteam ui elements to allow predator to make more plays using the mimicing system, I would also like to see a few more changes.
-thermal vision should not take up energy. Nor should flicking it on/off be audible to fireteam members
-Cloak is solid, and I like that the eyes glow in thermal, keep that.
-The marking system for fireteam members in thermal is more of a distraction than anything for me, but
I have a few ideas to improve it.
-First of all, make it last longer, but only show it on the minimap. That way you still have to look around to find your prey
-Second, Create a scaning system, similar to the 2010 avp game, When the predator scans a fireteam member, he should be able to see all of their weapons/equipment. This would encourage stalking and planning. Though it should only take time to scan your prey on the first scan, every other subsequent look at a fireteam member should automatically display their gear.
-Leaping, should not consume stamina, or if it does, it should not be as much. Predator can hop from tree branch to tree branch without breaking a sweat, but when it comes to leaping onto a shed, its like he just participated in the olympics and had a heat stroke. This is especially frustrating when as predator stamina is shared by melee/sprint/leap/ and considering you must already have a total balancing act with energy, its frustrating to have to balance that too. (especially considering scout has a stamina bug I have heard).
-Second wind, Predator should be able to leap in second wind. Or at least he should be Significantly faster than the fastest fireteam members, that way he actually stands a chance to get up somewhere high or get away and heal before they hunt him down like a rabbit.
Edit: Forgot to put in a word about “Predator kills”
Enemies that die by either bleeding out after being downed by predator, or that were downed when the game forces the “Fireteam eliminated” screen, should be counted towards predator kills.
Edit 2:
-being shot as predator should not cause such ridiculous aim punch that it throws your already extremely slow to charge and aim shots. fireteam should be punished for standing still and trading shots, not pred.
