Suggestion to boost diversity with the current content of the game

Hello All,

I was wondering–although we want new content and we’re eagering waiting the DLCs–in the meantime, I believe IllFonic could “twist” the current content to allow more diversity–of course, I do not know if those changes are easy to implement or would be require extensive work, but:

  1. Cross-outfit
Why not allow you to pick up your outfit irrespective of the “class”, e.g:
Playing as FT class “Assault” why not allow one to pick up the “Recon” or “scout” outfit–I think it would be rather cool wearing whatsoever outfit you like, I, for one, when playing as FT I play as Assault, but I like “Recon’s outift” better.

  2. Weapons slots
Similar to the above, why limit a choice of weapons to “Primary” and “Secondary”.
I’d like to play with “Assault Riffle” primary and other “Assault Riffle” as secondary, or a combination that current one cannot set such as “Pistol” as primary and “Submachine” as secondary

With these two suggestions we’d see a plethora of different characters; with unsual combinations of weapons and outfits.

Your 1. won’t work because the Predator won’t be able to distinguish FT classes aside during a match.
Your 2. won’t work because if 4 players come with a Sniper rifle and an Assault Rifle, the Predator is literally toast. Imagine 4 players, each carrying 2 smgs. The Predator will turn to dust in a few seconds after he lands on ground.

Interesting,
I wasn’t aware that Predator players relied so much on the outfits, but thanks, really wasn’t aware of that.

For the weapons, right now there’s nothing preventing you facing a FT with 4 snipers rifles, and 4 submachine guns…taking turns…

I think most of the community is hoping that the weapons will end up class based to help with balancing. In addition weight effecting movement speed. A scout can have speed or firepower but not both. I.E. If you carry a .50 sniper into combat you can’t fly around at 30mph. They’ll also have less health so if they’re popping the pred with sniper fire they’re risking aggro and since they won’t be able to run they’ll be more reliant on the team to stay alive. No more scouts hiding in the bushes away from the team.

it does have a strategic component, knowing how many hits its going to take for each member, who you’re going to hit and how quick based on their outift.
