Hey,
Here my suggestions:
First of all, thank you for continuing to support Predator: Hunting Grounds . I’ve been playing mainly as Predator for a long time (lvl 780), and I genuinely love the game. My goal isn’t to ask for an overpowered Predator, but to share a few ideas that could make matches even more immersive and tense.
In my opinion, the main issue isn’t damage balance, but mission pacing. Experienced Fireteams can complete their missions in just a few minutes. The Predator then ends up chasing the mission rather than truly hunting. Slightly longer missions, or a minimum time before the extraction can be called, could create more tension and guarantee a real confrontation between both sides.
The reinforcement system is a good idea, but right now Fireteam members return fully equipped with their original loadouts. More generic reinforcements, with a default class or randomized equipment, would feel more coherent and would prevent the pressure created by the Predator from being completely erased.
The Shield could also use a rework. It is classified as a weapon, but it functions almost entirely as a defensive tool. A player who equips the Shield is giving up a spear, sword, bow, hand-held plasma caster, or another offensive weapon. That sacrifice should be rewarded with a viable and distinctive playstyle.
For example, the Shield could have proper offensive attacks, automatically return to a defensive position after an attack, and block melee attacks when correctly oriented. Otherwise, if it is intended to remain purely defensive, it might make more sense for it to be classified as gear rather than as a weapon.
A few bugs could also be addressed. Some biomask lighting effects do not work correctly on certain Predator classes, while others can remain permanently active and reveal the Predator’s position. Some character lighting effects, such as Bionic’s red cybernetic lights, also appear to be missing.
More importantly, bleeding can continue for around a minute after using the healing kit, even though its description clearly states that it stops bleeding. This allows Fireteam members to continue following the Predator’s blood trail, or even see blood falling from the trees and immediately locate the Predator. The bleeding effect should stop as soon as the healing animation is completed.
Finally, in the long term, I think entirely new gameplay experiences would add much more to the game than simply releasing new Predator classes. A 3 Predators versus 9 Fireteam members mode, for example, could completely refresh the experience while remaining faithful to the movies, where Predators often hunt in groups.
This type of mode could introduce real cooperation between Predators, with different players tracking, attacking, and cutting off escape routes. It would also force the Fireteam to communicate, remain organized, and genuinely consider when to advance, when to fight, and when to retreat.
I am not asking for a stronger Predator or for radical changes to the entire game. I believe the game already has a great foundation, and that a few targeted adjustments, bug fixes, and genuinely fresh gameplay experiences could help it reach a whole new level.
Thank you for your continued support and for taking the time to consider these suggestions.
EDIT: And nerf this SAWZ-50 that everyone play with becouse it’s completely broken.
R.
