Probably the match host’s internet…
Next question.

so, why was nobody else t-posing?

btw in public matches, there is no such thing as a “host”, public matches have dedicated servers, otherwise if that person loses connection, everyone would get kicked out. I’ve been in matches with over 100ms ping, meaning there’s no way I am said host, had everyone left, still not get disconnected and still play with over 100ms ping.

Because they could load the data properly, and the host didn’t.
Oh, and what you’re saying its not true. If the host leaves, everyone get’s disconnected. This game doesn’t have dedicated servers, it uses a user’s machine as a virtual host. Have you played COD:MW the very first one? If you did, you know what i’m talking about.
This game uses the machine closest to Illfonic servers as a host by default. If the host has a bad internet, that could happen. And the ping doesn’t have much to do with that. If you have 100ms ping but a stable connection, it’s ok… But if by some reason, mid match, the host get’s a peak, things can happen like players teleporting, position sync problems, momentaneous lag, etc…

https://aws.amazon.com/solutions/case-studies/illfonic/

“Already using other services from Amazon Web Services (AWS), IllFonic migrated one of its past titles to Amazon GameLift, a fully managed dedicated server hosting solution that deploys, operates, and scales cloud servers for multiplayer games.”

“Later, IllFonic developed its newest title entirely on AWS and launched the game in April 2020.

"Migrating to Amazon GameLift has enabled IllFonic to provide a seamless gaming experience with low latency and better, faster matchmaking "

But whatever… let’s just ask @Courier @OldKingHamlet @Wil to confirm whether or not PHG uses cloud servers for public matches or not. ;)

So you’re saying amazon servers are the problem and not a shitty connection from 1 single personality in a match…
Seems anything but logic.
Also, Amazon servers are for peer-to-peer games, i believe.
But yeah, maybe the devs can clear this out.

PS: when u see anyone in t-pose, if it was a server issue, shouldn’t all the players in that match be in t-pose also?

I don’t know what triggers it, you are assuming is a connection problem, I am not assuming anything. Maybe connection problems aggravate the bug, but I don’t think is the root cause.

I’m assuming that based on knowledge and logic.
Yes, it’s my opinion. Yes, i can be wrong.
