Testing. Again. Update 3.0

ding ding ding ding… that’s exactly what happens when major changes are done. People need to adapt. I’m pretty sure in a month or two y’all gonna be alright

and yet I found day 1 Xbox players that told me they just got the game, doing fairly well. Soaking up 4-5K damage and losing only to 1 or 2 FT leaving on the chopper

Maybe they come with a clean slate approach to the game and don’t rely on what worked before

Yeah, they don’t know what the meta weapons and playstyles were before, so it’s different for them. For veteran players that relied on the bow and a ranged playstyle, they’re going to have to completely change their whole playstyle now.

From what I watched on Infinite’s share screen the Crossbolt Gun has potential tbh. I can definitely see people making the best use of it once we have gotten used to it.

Potatoes will be potatoes. You can’t fix stupid. If someone stands stills and takes all the knife damage like an idiot… well…

I’m not a fan of the fact that with a Year + of rust I can hop into a random game with a non-serious loadout & still win with little to no trouble, some serious changes still need to be made IMO. Pistols do feel a little weaker/less reliable with aim tho at the least.

Yesterday I had one player use it on my with traps. Eventually got me. I had 3 potatoes on the team so, I took my L and then teamed up, lmao

Nope. Game is still full of playstation children that have no clue of how to play. You can’t judge a game based on that.

Yeah I can definitely see people using it like a double Combistick throw if they can master the cancel tech

Pistols are still ok, but the ammo nerf makes them unreliable unless you are using duelist.
You literally get 2 clips on reserve if you are not duelist.

I switched to the vector now, seems better IMO

I did see Sam mention in his vids that Support feels a lot more of a mandatory pick if FT wants to stay on top of resource management so that’s nice at least. The shake ups to ammo & the Gearhead perk have rocked the boat at least somewhat.

yeah, ft needs to be a bit more “strategic” now.

TBH, pred will always be below and hard. Otherwise nobody would play FT. It will always be that way no matter how much people complain. But the game had gotten to a point where playing as a premade was boring and too damn easy. And playing Pred was basically suicide. Now is a bit more entertaining for both.

I always said that the 2nd most important thing for beating a FT was wasting their resources, that seems like a much less stressful time now. I’m curious how good Shield on a High Energy class such as Bionic could potentially be in aiding that goal. I think its stupid as fuck that it is a Weapon and not a Gear Item, but it might have some utility use in wasting a clip or two of FT ammo here & there which can hurt them in the long run if you stay on top of your own Medkits & destroy Ammo Boxes.

Yeah. It seems like this is what the new Devs were aiming for.

I’ve retested all ranged weapons and a few melee weapons.

I watched a video of someone using it on Bionic. The shield got deleted in mere seconds by a Dante with a 1011-12 pistol.

Test the sickle. If my calculations are correct, it should be pretty strong

Oh shoot I didn’t hear about the ammo nerfs, what did they do? I think that’s a great change.

Edit: I checked above, the ammo nerfs are good, I like that the pistol would do a lot of damage, but has limited supply. I wanna see how much the damage nerf did, cause before the 10-11-12 was fucking cracked LOL

Pistol & Shotguns got all their Ammo counts shot in the kneecaps. That combined with Gearhead being turned into a 6 Cost Perk means FT gotta be more conservative with their application of bullets. Expect to see a lot more Supports running around to try and counter it.

IIRC Sam said in a video last night that some classes are probably gonna stop using the pistols and swap to a SMG.
