Text chat function in the lobby?

I think it would be nice to be able to communicate through text in the lobby at least for those who don’t feel comfortable speaking through comms. Been sitting in a lobby with a Predator player I’ve come up against who I respect and it’s been like 25+mins, we’ve had one person join and leave… I’m happy to wait but yeah, would be nice to type in “hey man, respect your Predator plays - will stick around for as long as you do 'til we get a match”

Just weird to me that there’s no text comms whatsoever.

It wouldn’t work, because ps4 players’ chat bubble takes like 20 seconds to load up and the typing is slow as hell

I’m a PC player so it seems so normal to have, but yeah shame about the PS4 chat function

Illfonic has a lot more important things to look into before this kind of thing anyway
