I haven’t been playing much lately because it’s just one game mode after almost two years… but the fact that they had to add bots to balance low player count / low player aptitude is seriously laughable.
Like shit, just balance your damn game. You’ve got again, almost two years, of community feedback and what do you do? Add cleo-fucking-patra predator?
Where is the focus? Considering there’s a set ‘roadmap’, I wanna see the final destination at this point, wtf are you guys doing and why?
This game was a stepping stone for arcadegeddon, they were developing it as far back as the end of 2019, good or bad this IP was going to generate some cash.
They blue balled fans at the beginning by dropping dutch , elder and city hunter (jungle hunter was to get those preorders) and then after almost a year of nothing movie related they dropped isabella.
One pred mask dropped to shut people up and they ate it up hook line and sinker . The lack of modes , lack of content and lack of functionality is simply incompetence.
Balance isn’t even worth getting into , this game was in almost every sale , they throttled the market for ps and epic exclusive and then tried to milk steam before it was put out on psplus . Anything they could have done to doom this game? They done flawlessly.
Bots are a resume boost for the 2 people still working on this game.
Couldn’t figure out how to get people to not ragequit after being dead longer than 20 seconds. No one asked for the 3 year reinforce timer either. Terrible attempt at improving pacing.
The Take Control function was just a Fuck It added after they kept getting stuck during playtesting.
At least pred ques are back up to over 2 minutes 😁 , I guess the psplus honeymoon is over .

tbf these dlc packs have like 3 reviews on steam.
especially since the weapons unlock a month later I don’t think people were really ever buying a bunch of DLC aside from arnie.
their business model is awful but I have a feeling half of it was forced on them by their publisher. Definitely no cashgrab. Who’s really paying for a zerk with worse stats?

Both ive never seen a game try to sell DLCs that are straight up downgrades. Not like they’re different playstyles either since all preds play the same.
It’d be one thing if these were just high quality cosmetics, but who is paying for worse stats than default hunter?

I’m of the opinion they’ll keep shitting them out. I doubt any DLC has outsold arnie but it doesn’t make a difference because everything aside from the character itself is free a month later. If they cared about monotization we’d have paid lootboxes and/or they’d stop handing stuff out for free.

They’re flexing and making it for themselves, that can’t be changed. It’s “their” mark on the franchise if that makes sense and its easy to keep making.
Look at halo’s goofy armors in their quest to be different from bungie even though everyone hates 343’s armors and they sell less and less but have enough of a core playerbase to work off initial sales. If you already got your money and the rest is made by two people on a budget of copper and silly string the rest doesn’t matter. They broke even a long time ago this game was not expensive to make, if there are no stakes for them you have no leverage as a consumer. This is the problem with coping with shitty low budget liscensed shooters.
Werent different lootbox types datamined? I wouldn’t be suprised if they intended on doing it , but you have to remember aswell that alot of companies are getting sued for lootboxes because they are technically gambling but worse , because its a fixed deck everytime as they write the code that decides the rotation of drops .
So I would say it was too risky for them when it dropped so they changed their mind , I may be wrong
