The ' AI '

I feel the AI in this game is very important. So important that it is part of the balancing.

They seem like they follow a predetermined path that is so predictable. When they see you they stand and shoot, assuming they get the chance to shoot.

  1. Why are they not running for cover?
  2. Why are the spawns so predictable?
  3. Why can we see them on the map before they are spotted?

I would prefer to see a stream of soldiers too rather than waves. I think this would give the predator more oppertunity to make the fights harder; right now there are sizable gaps between waves and the few soldiers that come die instantly.

The situation right now seems like, Soldiers spawn at set location. The soldiers move along highly predictable path and are visible on the map. The soldiers come around corner. The soldiers lose their heads.

I would much rather see. Soldiers spawn at random but close location in area. Soldiers are not visible on map until spotted. Soldiers find cover and shoot from cover. Some more ranged soldiers that shoot from the trees.

All the soldiers right now are like those wanna be Rambo’s from team games; the ones that leave the team and end up dead in the first 10 seconds. The ones that rush into the enemy with a knife thinking they are about to make a viral video where they take down the whole squad.

Agreed. The AI do need more work and shouldn’t be visible on the map.

It would be nice, if the AI uses Cover. Currently they keep standing and wait for their end.
