As a pred main, I do use the axe and see nothing wrong with using it. I’d like to know why it gets so much hate, I hear people say it’s too overpowered and or unbalanced but that could be said about many things in the game. As pred I’ve had many games where the tracking is god awful and I get lit up. As ft I have no problem avoiding and or dodging the axe from hittin me. To the people that complain and whine about it, I’d like to hear your side of it.

Pred can’t have nice things. Anything that forces FT players out of easy mode brings out the whiners until it’s nerfed. It’s always been this way.
As for me, I rarely use it. I prefer to win in style.

I guess its like for the same reason Predators hate certain fireteam builds, which are strong and take minimal skill to use. Its a weapon that doesn’t take effort to use and if you get luck with the tracking you can get a kill very easy.
Not that I have a problem with it, I never ever even complained about Preds that go with netgun + trapper + tactician in a 1v1 vs me, which is usually an easy win, fireteam also has a lot of overpowered shit that takes no effort and you can just abuse to have effortless wins so now both sides have it, thats balance lol.
The Axe is still not enough against good fireteam premades that are actually trying to win. But if you are playing solo you won’t be able to 1v1 a half decent Axe Predator so easily, so the ft rambos are gonna get mad over not being able to solo all the Predators they see in pubs, and they don’t want to get good, they are too used to beating Preds without effort.

The Heavy Attack does 100 damage plus 15 bleed, so it will 2 hit most players unless they have their health constantly topped off.
Valkyrie Predator (top tier in her own right) with Ghost and Fearless using Heavy attacks with the Axe does 143 damage plus 15 bleed damage for 158 total damage in a single hit. This will literally one shot almost any player unless they have a damage reduction effect active and/or have 100% health.
At the very least, the Axe heavy damage should be reduced to 87 initial base damage. I also think the light attack swing speed should be 85% as fast as the Hammer, to give the Hammer more of a niche and a reason to choose it rather than always the Axe.

I’m not arguing from the standpoint of fireteam vs Axe. I’m looking at it more from the perspective of the Axe compared to the other weapons available to the predator.
Obviously, there are many things, including the damage of some weapons, I think needs to be nerfed on the Fireteam side.

Axe heavy hit is quite easy to dodge, light hit is easy to parry.
Hook heavy hit is almost undodgeable due to the “slash” tracking, and light hit is super fast

I agree with you and the many points you made about pred and ft. I do find other weapons the pred uses to be better than axe. I somewhat made this thread to tease ft mains, but I appreciate you giving the people facts over just saying git gud.
