I think it might have something to do with the new mode.
There could be an over watch roll, maybe something for dead players to do and have an effect on the match or a way to gather evidence.
PS. Don’t like the Reaper one, it’s camera was glowing and might have given me away.

Maybe night maps are variants of previous existing maps and not part of the new mode, hence the cameras/night vision attachements on certain helmets.
