I made a small video showcasing what I believe to be the best way to pressure the fireteam using the scout without taking alot of damage. As somebody who’s been playing everyday since release, I’ve found these tactics to be the most effective ways to have alot of fun, keep the match going on for longer, keep the fire team scared and entertained, and most importantly improve the overall game experience for both sides. The bow is my favorite weapon in this game. But lets be real here: the only reason the bow does so well is because all the other weapons (minus combistick) are so meh.

This has been true since 1.06 and they buffed bow and nerfed plasma.
Bow life is good life.
I am glad I never really bothered with Plasma and used the bow long before it was cool.
I’m a new member of the bow using predator, but dang do I love the bow :D
I’m not usually an Archer or even ranged combat period kinda guy but even I have the Bow to just be SO much fun to use. Independent of its effectiveness which is great fortunately but most importantly it’s wonderfully sadistic fun, lol.
Though weaker, the way of the Lore Hunter is still supreme

combi stick is meh, only thing close to being lore accurate is the spear
I agree with your statement, that I can make for longer games and be a really fun way to play but I disagree with the title of “bow is stronger than the other weapons”. People hate on it over and over and over cause it’s the glitchest weapon, but the smart disc has ONE shot downs if you combo it with bear traps. BUT this also results in insta downing people which is not very fun for them.
I am testing around with possible berserker builds and I’ve recently started to play with a ranged build that focuses on the bow.
I’ve named it Jungle Zerker:
Weapons: Bow + Combistick
Perks: Leap, Down Range, X (two points left for whatever you prefer, went with reduced energy for cloak)
Gear: Stimpack, Bear Trap, Motion Sensor
I usually try to dwindle them down with the bow from range and once I have downed someone, either I lay down a trap on top of him or just continue to harass them depending on the situation. If they are very aggressive and try to push me, I use my trap defensively. The combistick is mostly used to down someone who is trapped and also quite good for some spear throwing action.
Right now I am figuring out the right sensitivity on my controller in order to improve my aiming with that bow and other ranged weapons, but it really only matters with that bow.
I mean, it was a fun watch but ‘skill’ is not hard to express against your opponents. Per game it was as follows,

You’re playing against the dumbest players in the game. I agree that the bow is the best weapon, and I am trying not to be one of the trolls here that shit on what is obviously smart / skilled gameplay… but a PC fireteam would not have made a lot of their mistakes.

I agree with you dude, but unfortunately the majority of the playerbase is on PS4, and turning off crossplay would make it impossible to find matches. Finding a 4 man pc squad in randoms right now only happens like once every 15 matches for me :(
I feel your pain man. Again, really fun gameplay to watch. Hopefully I’ll see you online one day! The discord usually has groups running pretty regular.
