Since everyone finds this to be such a touchy subject…
In my entire time of playing this game, I have yet to see a Predator charge their caster fully. Only pot shooting the caster. Never a single charged shot… Not one.
So…
My question to the forum.

Proposed action: Note: This is assuming no other changes are made gameplay wise. Reduce the radius of uncharged plasma AOE by 5m (guesstimate)
I have no issue with with how anyone wants to play and I don’t agree that the plasma caster is cheap. If a Pred manages to down and kill me with a Plasma caster then I think about what I could have done differently to avoid it but some people think it’s okay to blame the opponent for doing exactly what he is supposed to do 🤨
I do agree that uncharged shots should do minor splash damage or have reduced splash radius.

Um just reduce uncharged shots splash
I dunno the play style is annoying but it’s not hard to beat
Just rush the mission it puts pressure on the pred then they make mistakes

I’m just so cheesed at there is zero incentive to max charge shot.
That’s my ONLY gripe. It does as much as a max charged. (Yes I’m aware not exactly, but uncharged shots do the same circumstantial damage as a max charged shot, meaning FT is going to have to heal after being pelted with uncharged shots, leaving NO incentive to ever charge a shot up.

I think a fully charged and direct shot should down all but support class. Like the good ol’ days. Bring back the fear!

Nah…I was a big fan of this before the cloak buff but now it’s way too easy to wipe a FT with modified reserve and dithered lens if PC was a one shot again

My shots always have a charge and a purpose baby. Castering is art. Lol

Also I had two fully charged head shots today you can definitely stil down a FT with one shot, it’s just a little harder now.

It depends on the situation and I dont think you look at it enough from the preds side.
I always focus on charging.
However, if I get a dumbass ft who’s sitting there just non stop spamming bullets at me, I’m going to sit there and return the constant barrage cause that’s shits annoying.
I’ve said it before, il say it again.
Why is it ok for ft to have consistent fire rate but why not pred?

I definitely feel this. However I only ever quick fire to escape and never reign a barrage on the fireteam. I return after a pig or medkit to continue giving them the normal work.
