I think this is the cloak that should have been in the game first lol… like to track the predator and kill him u need to focus and leave ur mission and kill it… i think thats totally fair.

Yea and maybe snares so we can skin fools in the trees if they try and chase you down you could even just leave then in the snare and watch the fireteam freak out and shoot him down… then strike again with bear traps and plasma caster… chaos ensues and then 2 FT are dead now its the last 2 freeing themselves from bear traps running to spawn beacon… then you can hunt them down or wait for respond…it’ll be good fun now

We literally have an interview coming out with the audio director soon too. It’s awesome to hear (well, read. It’s a text interview) his passion for immersive sound.

Back on topic, I hope that since we’re willing to explore and implement both significant and tiny shifts in the mechanics, people will see that we’re doing what we can to make this game as fun as possible :D

I have no problem with the cloaking, matter of fact I think the pred needed it, but as a FT main what me and most if not all FT mains agree on is that the plasma caster explosion is way too ridiculous now. I mean, I can be 5 to 8 meters from the blast and still get half my health reduced, seriously? What were the devs thinking with this. We can’t even hide behind a tree or a wall now to avoid the blast. But us FT always adapt so might have to go with support snipers from now on with unlimited ammo, health, UAV scanners…just a matter of time before we start melting preds again.

No but in all seriousness im gonna be honest. I wasnt expecting a lot of what came yesterday. Im still not 100% how I feel about it, but I am pretty much solid in my opinion that this was actually a great move to keep the game going. This is just the kind of gamemode we needed to keep the playerbase afloat, as rough around the edges as it is, it really is awesome.

Honestly Im glad you guys kinda went balls to the wall with the cloak change. You pretty much pulled the UNO reverse card haha. I still havent played hunt at all since the patch so I might have to, so I can really see how the cloak is in action. But its definitely a good change nonetheless. I expect it will still need some tweaking, but its in a much better place now than it was two days ago.

True, i think the radius shouldn’t have been increased, only the damage honestly…

But im against making anymore balance changes honestly than just decreasing radius of blast and increasing plasma damage, the sniper rifles are way too power and on par with predators plasma honestly… while even auto sniper can take away this amount of chunk

Bro seriously, in order to snipe you have to hit your target. All the pred has to do now is shoot and not worry about missing (by a long shot) and still take half your health. Six bullets to the body doesn’t compare to two explosions with terrible aim.

Not to mention that you can’t snipe the pred if he’s out of sight, but he can sure kill you even if you find cover behind a tree, vehicle, inside a building…the plasma caster explosion will get you regardless. It’s complete bs

Ive never liked that the Plasma Caster has been delegated to a building clearing utility weapon. Id prefer that to be a gear item or new weapon. The PC should be a reliable ranged weapon

The sniper is the most broken weapon in the game honestly, it even beats plasma???

6 bullets literally can send predator in second wind and then even when u reload on time u can give him 3 more bullets to shorten his second wind time to heal closer to you guys?

This is why i said radius is not fair cause like if u want to heal and u go inside the building, then the radius hits u if ur closer to the entrance, but the damage should have been increased cause its a no brainer for a fireteam member to just stand in place and not do shit while predator’s only task is to hunt and kill?

So how do you explain all of that i just mentioned?

And not only that but the sniper player if a good one and goes for head most of the time, can ruin predators match by taking his mask off, now if u go for headshots only thats a props by me cause thats the only time skills come in place…

Are you sure about that? the sniper and all of other guns have infinite range?

Again its up to the player to properly time his shots if predator is not hidden behind the branch lmao… and i already said it branches should let the bullets go through but reduce the incoming damage to the predator until the branches get taken down.

Plasma Caster might be a bit broken right this second but I need more play time. I agree with Lazy it should be a primary ranged weapon not a room clearer.

The damage radius could be modified to only travel away from the blast sight in the direction of travel. Like a water balloon, it hits the ground, breaks and splash’s in the direction of its momentum, this way it can still be effective a clearing tool but also allow dodging it.
