The Deadliest Predator so far > Scout Predator

After near reaching level 50 i want to share some wisdom.

When you really want to be scary and deadly as Predator than use for God Sake the “Scout Predator” !

When you want to be slow as f… and easy to kill after second wind so please use the other Predator classes. - SECOND WIND IS NOW BUFFED YOU CAN NOW JUMP IN SECOND WIND

Perks you absolute need: 1. “Down Range” for One hit Kills - GOT NERFED NOW
2. “Cooling Syncs” the REAL Energy Savior believe me !
3. “Dithered Lens” for sneaky surprise attacks.

Weapons you need: Combistick and Netgun

And when you now think that you need 3 Health Stims. THATS A LIE !!!
You dont have time for that and something is going very wrong.

Iam pretty succesfull with this Build and it feels very comfortable.

I hope i could convince some people to try it out too.

What advantage are you seeing with scout that makes it worth not just taking that same build on hunter?
Just wondering.

Because the other Predator Classes are too slow.
When you are in second wind you are pretty much dead against average Players because you have a hard time to escape and the Fireteam can easily catch up.

The Scout is the best class because of his high stamina and movement speed and can escape far more easier compare to the other classes.

Thanks for the build, I’ll definitely try it!

I’ll give it a shot.

Just curiosity but can anyone weigh in on whether Dithered Lens makes a worthwhile difference? I mean, how much more “obscure” is the targeting laser to the fire team? I wish I had a side-by-side video comparison from the fire team point of view to get a sense of how much impact it has on play.

I love the Scout. I’ve been using Energy cell, modified reserve, and down range.

Take a hit or two, quickly retreat and come in from a different direction and catch them off guard with a volley of charged Plasma shots. with this loadout you basically have unlimited standard plasma shots if you’re uncloaked.

Been hoping someone would test the perks! I want exact numbers!

I tried, but the FT sniper rifle feels stronger than the damage I do

I almost always have a terrible time trying to use Pred-snipe builds because the fire team seems to be able to spot me before I can get into any kind of decent position. Trees are pretty terrible because you have zero cover and no real maneuverability while on them. Rooftops are the safest bet for the cover they can provide but in most maps, you have to get in so close and so low that you just get marked instantly.

Plus, “head glitching” the Plasma Caster is one of the only reliable ways to get good ranged damage in and that requires a roof or rock outcropping.

I just hope that the community (and devs) figure out how to make the Predator feel fun and rewarding to play. Right now, I get excited when I get lucky enough to down 2 FT’s. And in 20 hours of matches, I’ve only managed more than 2 downs a single time…and that was with a 'Zerk, Combi and some very fortunate circumstances.

“Cooling Syncs” is a three in one Perk.

You dont need Energy Cell, Modified Reserve or Light Bender/Heated for a good Energy Management.

After your Overload you are back with Full Energy in 2,3 seconds and start a new Volley Plasma Attacks which is incredibly funny.

Not sure I agree on this take,I’ve rushed in as and have been rushed by a Beserker running Yauatja bow and Combistick. Combine that with Impenetrable and Fearless, and you have a monster Predator that can easily down 2 Fireteam soldiers in one rush without breaking a sweat. On top of that, you can throw said combistick, nearly downing the soldier hit and then rush in with your blades or even retrieve the stick and proceed to cutting through everyone.

Its the most boring build. Second one I tried, but the plasma caster is just as OP as the sniper rifles are at the moment. Thats why I dont like using it.

Strange when I was testing that perk it took about 10 seconds to recover from overload…I was testing it with the larger battery perk…maybe that makes it take longer because if more overall energy?

I prefer the bow and disc with my scout

I’m going to try this today. Thanks

So, I tested this Scout build and I have to say…it’s changed my opinion on the Scout class. Sure, some of my results are probably due to lots of practice and getting a better understanding of how to play Predator in general but the Scout’s maneuverability should not be underestimated.

Scout’s playstyle is decidedly “hit and run”. You sneak in. Find a perch to place some damage or get a pick. As soon as they know you’re there, run. Her excellent Stamina means she can leap 3 or 4 times consecutively and that’s plenty to put distance or get into a position where the fire team simple can’t get you. Rise and repeat.

The only real issue with this strategy is if the fire team are focused and lucky enough to complete their objectives in the first few minutes. Even so, I’ve had some good fortune nailing 3 FT’s with a charged Plasma Caster while they were awaiting extraction on “da choppa”. That felt pretty great, getting those last kills in the literal final seconds of the match.

So yeah, Scout (who I had previously written off as hopeless due to the very low health) might just be my preferred Predator class now. Certainly the one I’ve had to most success with.

I’m actually having FUN as Pred now! It’s a nice combination of challenge and reward when you line up those glorious kills!

Saw a side by side online somewhere… works good

Scout is the most scary one i agree about this, because he is way too fast to hunt. Its feels so good to play as him.
