I like the idea of double or triple packs of characters.
I think they should double down on the eighties toy feel. Whether that means character packs, play sets, vehicles (eventually) or releasing accessories packs. Dlc can have a range of prices and types of content.
Character packs I’d like to see…
- Dillion deserves his own pack or solo release
- The originally movie team (wishful thinking but this is for fun)
- Keyes and 2 members of his team from Predator 2
(One with a liquid nitrogen sprayer and the other with a tracker)
- Harrigan’s partners packed with bonus figure King Willie.
I don’t want to list every character from every movie, and honestly don’t think pursuing individual likeness rights isn’t worth the effort. That said, I do think pursing some of them is worth it, what other fans want is important for figuring out which ones. I think the only way to make this work is to release them in groups for a fairly low price point, which might mean sacrificing likenesses. It’s a tough situation if I look at it objectively.
If challenges of some kind are planned, then building challenges that allow players to equip these characters into roles during those challenges could increase there sale numbers. I know I’m far more likely to buy a toy I can actually use/play with. So if this route is the one your going down. Keep in mind how players are going to play with them. If I can have a duel with bot Billy I’m much more likely to make that purchase.
PS. Sorry Grimm started going off topic there. Great thread man.
