The Game is balanced… just not how many here seem to like

Let me help you ^ ——get rid of this way of thinking I’m not going by ‘what if’ I’m saying what is true to this current state of the game right at this moment. There is only one thing that come close to a one shot down, that is the bow and only on recon or sniper classes. If you get shot in head with arrow it’s going to be a big ouchie as it is meant to be.

Most salty teared humans cry and complain about things being too strong when in truth of light is actually players ability to learn and avoid bad situation because of constant bad choices. Did that help any?

I guess these are the bits I’m struggling with: on one hand you seem to be saying people who complain about balance and things needing to be buffed/nerfed are cry babies who are just making the wrong choices tactically, and balance has nothing to do with it:

And on the other hand…

You’re complaining that your personal strategy has been nerfed? Why would you have an issue with the new update when it’s all down to the choices you make in the game according to you, and weapon balance has nothing to do with it?

He just doesn’t want to fall into the “On paper arguement” vs the “It’s all skill”
he wants to instead sit in the middle and claim only the benefits and none of the negatives of either side
it’s wild

It’s beginning to seem that way.

I mean sure, there are elements of the update I’m not thrilled about in terms of certain Pred weapons and gear, but I try to look at the game as a whole, and I understand that in order to avoid one side becoming too dominant, the balance has to be tweaked, and it won’t necessarily be in the favour of the side you may personally tend to play as.

Because quite literally most people that do claim op (on both sides of the spectrum) are just simply complaining they can work around their issues but they decide to blame op instead, for instance people have complained the snipers are op they can two shot off a predator mask…would that happen if they moved around more or changed their tactics to implement more stealth to their movements?

Ok. Well can you tell me if you’re happy with the gameplay as it stands now, or whether you preferred it before the patch, or whether these balance issues make no difference as it’s all down to tactical choices? Just trying to clarify as some of your past comments in this thread appear to me to be contradictory?

Well unfortunately had to stop reading in the first paragraph because you do not balance around “majority player base” or “randoms” you balance around what is the FT capable of. Just like every other game ever, you have to balance around the top. Otherwise, shit will be broken in the hands of good players

If you notice my friend they have a tips and tricks about this saying it’s by design that if you try to fire too fast a melee will happen kinda like if you’re firing a bow on the ground and the random dude runs at you with a knife you have a quick melee response

You cant build a game around the top which happens to be a small percentage that would alienate the other 90ish percent and that’s bad business to cater to the few, the potatoes make up a large part of the games base if you need proof just solo quickplay, more then half have no business playing this game let alone a fps

Yeah, I’m sometimes guilty of that, but I’ve had it happen on steady, long aims as well.

Exactly right.

LMFAO

They request privates because they are tired of winning in pubs and only we put a struggle to them. We are talking around 40-50 FT players. Also a lot of these preds play FT and they are just as good as FT.

I don’t know if they get better playing with us, but we definitely get better playing against them and if in pubs they don’t struggle, I do not think they’ll get any better there.

Expecting new players to hang with the top players from the get go is ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous.

Can I just walk into the UFC and knockout the heavyweight champion of the world?

With no training and having just ate at KFC?

but the thing is they don’t do. there is some ranked match making. I’ve been playing all week with a friend that just bought the game and all the preds we get are low level

Dunno, I play both PC and Pred pretty well, The balance is closer but a few things need looking at, like the new guns long range dps etc.

But yeah 4 man PC team is pretty much guaranteed win still, makes it a bit boring for us at the moment.

There needs to be more pigs. I’ve had to let prey escape because I would search the map for pigs and not find a single one.

Or was the game designed to spend the first 5 mins looking for and stacking pigs?

Respectfully disagree completely. This is what’s fucking up the game, this is what’s ruining most of triple A games in general, making em 30 IQ friendly. One of the reasons a game like this can be valued and considered a classic is because it rewards your skill/knowledge of it.
I think a pvp game should never be balanced “around some players”, a game should be balanced period.
Casual players that suck at it are the majority? Then find effective ways to make them better. How?
1)on screen tips are ok, but add a simple but comprehensive, mandatory FT tutorial focused on teamwork.
2)change the focus of the game. No to a 4player coop Doom, yes to an asymmetrical action-horror game. How?

-Do Not: grant FT survivability by making their dps insane so much so that it ruins the titular predator feel by reducing the villain to a scared birdy that has to keep trying to get a pluck and then has to fly away bruised and in fear of getting chased and eaten alive,

INSTEAD:
+Make FT more elusive, buff mud/stealth capabilities, in essence make it so that to actually exfil alive is the main goal, and to kill the pred is only a secondary thing reserved to the brave, actually skilled or lucky ones.
+Add more tricks and tools to the Predator arsenal and make it mandatory for him to rely on those in order to get the 4 skulls. Like actually being able to lure single FTs, by making fake objectives
+Force the FT to choose wheather to split or to stick togheter via different objectives, so that they always sacrifice/risk something if the choose one over the other.

IN ESSENCE: longer matches, more complex objectives and choices for FT, more tactic required from the predator

I wish.

is kinda buggy. sometimes there’s a lot of pigs, sometimes there isnt. just like ammo crates for FT

Omg fake objectives. Luring and trapping.
God I’m drooling the thought of this.

See, I play a pretty direct style of fighting.
It kinda goes against how the predator typically hunts, but I can pull it off, so I imagine there would be some actual predators somewhere in the lore that take a less stealth like approach.

But I would ABSOLUTELY love to play a pred class that focuses completely on traps and different gear, and only has wrist blades and pc as weapons.

One that wins purely by outsmarting the ft.
Please for the love of all that is holy, gimme.
