@P-willie2000 the general thing with early iterations about hate towards macros and exploits is that what was available at the time was very low level
It was until 300 gear when things started to get out of hand
Oh damn, this is still true lol, it’s really silly how macros are overblown but the most people are capable of doing is rapid fire with Grimtech19
Xeno eventually saw what was capable and chilled out, basically finding broken shit was a catch 22 with the main idea being that if it’s reported then people will use it and it ended up coming true anyways for example Fanatic/Reckless
Exploits aren’t actually made the same and we know that even more now, at the time of those posts it was like comparing a .22 to 9m… now we kind of have the comparison to make of .22 to a nuke or atom bomb 😅
General premise is that the early aggression towards loadout bugs such as wrong specialization was unnecessary because people didn’t seem to understand how to really play the game and directed frustration of Illfonic towards players
We also know given the chance a lot of people who complained about unfair advantages on PlayStation also not only sought out ways to level the playing field but rampantly used broken specs and Reckless/Fanatic damage themselves
I forget what else but
What I understood at the time was that playing normally and being able to know how to shoot Predator and simply perform was much more game breaking than the actual exploits at the time that were available
Hell, recon tracker, support field medic, early dutch 1987 GH, Thick Skin, Action hero was stronger than Rapid fire and most broken specs and I think there were complaints for PC player aim but we also know many old PlayStation players just can’t perform worth a damn and a select few make the entire population look like they practically are toddlers with ankle weights and unfortunately Xbox release blew the lid on that

Not at all great breakdowns tbh there’s a bunch more but I feel this is all a great reflection heading towards the next year however I feel like we all have had our fair share of issues in this community these are some of the highlights

I could probably breakdown some of by the history with events that involve game knowledge and some of exploit and cheating controversies but i can’t really get in the middle of some of the interpersonal issues although people 626Drums ended up being divisive with moral high ground and caused a lot of resentment
Basically causing people not to look through the lens of if things were morally correct but if they made any really change to the gameplay environment
