Well done

To determine who is the Negan of the forum, we have agreed to make our best Negan styled spaghetti dishes to see who wins!

Senate: Sauce is a homemade recipe that entirely uses ingredients from my garden. I used 4 large tomato’s, 1.5 onions, 1 head of garlic, various Italian garden herbs, salt, sugar butter, and red wine in my sauce. The noodles are cooked to a perfect Al dente, and grated Parmesan cheese is put on top of the entire dish.

Madisyn: Sauce was made from scratch using stewed tomatoes, basic pasta sauce but I added chopped onions, red and green bell peppers, and chopped garlic with various herbs and spices,
Spaghetti cooked to al dente as per usual.

Olive Garden ass pasta. Doesn’t matter how good of a sauce you make if you don’t treat it right. Next time, I want you to have the sauce in a large skillet able to handle the full amount of sauce and pasta in it at the same time. Cook your pasta with just enough water, as little excess as possible. Heat your sauce in your skillet, add your just barely shy of al dente pasta to your sauce skillet (reserve some pasta water), toss it a few times, add a little bit of olive oil or butter, toss it some more, add a little of the reserved pasta water turn the heat on high, the starchy pasta water will emulsify with the fat and sauce, making the sauce creamier and will finish off the pasta to the perfect al dente. Turn the heat off, then add your cheese and herbs and toss it a few more times.

Report back on how the pasta taste, texture and creaminess is compared to that plate.

You can tell it’s amateur hour pasta when it’s the Olive Garden un-sauced pasta plate with a ladle of sauce in the middle.

Wait till this man find out there’s more than one way to plate a pasta dish. Gonna have a brain aneurysm.

You probably couldn’t even cook a good cacio e pepe.
