The match ended prematurely! The reason the Host left the match ?. Also a long waiting time of over 15 minutes for PREDATOR!

Hello,

I now had one well-played match for the predators. I’ve had 3 killings from FT and the last living man went to call for reinforcements by radio. I let him call them. I waited a moment for the reinforcements to stand on their feet again. And after a while it happened that the game was prematurely terminated.
There were 9 minutes left until the end of the match. And suddenly the game ended unexpectedly. And it showed me the error message, unfortunately I didn’t have time to read it all. And I immediately clicked it. There was something about the message: the host had leave the game. So is it possible for a player to host a match and can end the game early if he leaves it?
If so.
Shouldn’t the guest be required to migrate to another player to avoid an early end to the match?
It’s happened to me a few times already and not just in the game. It was also in the game lobby when the 30 second countdown ended at the beginning of the match and at once the game cost all 4 players were still in the hall. After 1 minute of waiting, the game started and there were only 2 players in the game. Those 2 disconnected. Can anyone clarify how this is?
Like it’s pretty annoying you wait for the predator queue for almost over 15 minute
minutes in ESTIMATED WAIT was 8:23. And then the match ends abruptly because the guest has left the match

Totally agree. All rights to become host should be removed after the match has started. Otherwise, you as PRed or FT are left to play alone.

My question is why aren’t they using dedicated servers instead of this outdated host crap on the best players internet.

Are you kidding?
If you have something for that, formulate your question differently.

No I’m not kidding. What idiot would run host based servers for a game that should be ran on dedicated servers for a better overall connection to the game. Would help with latency a lot.

Humm…interesting
Also that’s a rip and a half lol

I’m not too clear as to why dedicated aren’t ran nonstop but I also think it is because Cloud based servers have taken prominence it eliviates there being 1 server per city ( because these are actual phsyical machines). Instead they use systemic cloud locations which could be various machines running at different times…you never know they could be solar powered commercial buildings which lower costs. it all depends on where Amazon (which is where Illfonic/Epic are using. Refer to Illfonic’s recent blog post.)).

The benefits of cloud servers is that they will essentially be allowed to move their system to another machine to clear up resources (which will already be accomodated for if they ever really need to). This is all done through SMART monitoring of their resources. If they had a single machine, they would have to literally buy another machine. Of course they would probably have done so by buying a large rig, but since cloud is entirely online, they do so through Amazon. That way they are automatically setup through several scales of required resources if they ever need it and it could be infinite if they really intend to be champions.
