The new Ghostbusters, Illfonic and Pre-orders.

OK, don’t know if this has been debated or anything around here. But given the fact that Illfonic will release a new title, involving Ghostbusters as a franchise, what are your thoughts on this?

I personally haven’t been completely or even sufficiently satisfied with the works done with their previous titles.

  • Friday the 13th was a dumpster fire but with good initiative;

  • Predator Hunting Grounds was not so good at launch but got considerably better along the way from release despite not reaching the expectations of the fans so much; (still looking forward to see if the teams comes back to invest more time on it and delivers considerably more quality content at least from time to time);

  • Arcadegedon was and will probably remain a failed attempt. Dying faster than the other titles and cursed to remain as “just something nobody heard of so much and not that interesting”. (that doesn’t mean it needs resurrected or kept alive or even be given palliative care)

Bottom line is, even if their work got better from project to project I still can’t be convinced anymore to pre-order in any way because of the overall progress.

What are you folks thinking in doing with and about the next title as possible fans?

OK, CEO of Illfonic. Thats enough talk. Simply no one else would be talking this much but you. We know who you are…just give it a rest now.
Nobody knows why a nobdy would be this invested in a doom sayer perspective as the CEO. so get lost. You’ve posted like 50 posts worth this week alone and its not even Thursday responding like you’re the biggest doom sayer for this company…really man. If you’re not the toilet cleaner of the company, you’re probably the CEO.

I really hope not, I really do.

I am not a douche in this sense. I really wish the best for them as I see they are really trying.

My sincere advice is simply for them to keep the project in the oven and keep it cooking well. For them not to rush into releasing and not to hesitate to postpone the title for any reason if the team is quality oriented and feels it doesn’t need to be launched.

And hope this message gets to the entire crew. "Expect to deliver quality over quantity folks.
