47:00 minute from this livestream I tested the plasma pistol in private with Thunderwolf:

Conclusion is the spread of the plasma projectiles makes it so the dmg decreases a lot while using from long range, like over 50% dmg decrease depending on distance and angle, at point blank it does good dmg, its like a shotgun.

But close range usually means death for the Predator if he doesn’t manage to down a fireteam in 4-5 seconds after the engagement with the fireteam begins. The bow still looks more reliable as it can work just as good from close as it does from long range, which is usually the most effective way to play as the Predator.

At close range its not much different than the bow if you get many hit in a rows you can get someone down, if you miss too much you are gonna get melted. Still have to test it on private on real matches to see how it works as a replacement for the bow.

I felt the spread is less now. Like its completely vertical from what I saw. Not flying in random directions. So a bit easier to work with now I think. Honestly at far distances i would just focus on the splash damage.

It does 22.5 damage per pellet, so 67.5 damage per hit. It’s over buffed. Oh well. No nerfs for fireteam, so it’ll even the playing field.

Considering it’s not the easiest to land all shots, I feel that’s pretty good. Considering ft damage I mean.

Also another projetile weapon heavily affected by ping. Hitscan still meta.

Actually if you do jump shots with the pistol and jump out for a second to reload then it’s amazing to use in my opinion.

Is it easy to track where the shots are coming from if cloaked ?

Not much different than tracking the shots of a Predator using Caster with Lens during day, I didnt have problems, and the reloading is noisy, giving Predator position very easily.

With pdls and acigs you can expose the Pred really fast.

Reloading aside, i thought it was kinda tough to tell which directions the shots are coming from. Perhaps not firing too many shots in a row won’t give away the position that easily

It’s like the axe you have to time your good shots where it counts but yeah I can 2 hit down people just have to jump but I like the wolf predator so far

I usually just blast away when I use it.
I like the feeling of having a shoot out with the ft. Can be dangerous tho.

Oh yeah it’s definitely meant for a high ground situation or jumping around shooting here and there then clean it up with a hook 🪝 that’s what works for me

Haven’t lost a match yet. Using it only. Boring pred play yes I know but i only did it for science. I like what I saw. Great way to wear down a sweaty ft
