The new update 2.12 reduced the game's performance and subsequently the FPS decreased drop?

Hi

I don’t know if it’s just a problem with me, but after the new incoming update to 2.12, the game doesn’t work as well as with the previous 2.11 update.
The game works with lower performance where I had drops in fps in some passages there was an even bigger drop than it was in version 2.11.
It’s really big performance difference is visible even on a much more powerful gaming PC. The game worked perfectly for me there on Ryzen 5. I tested the game on 3x devices. On a gaming notebook INTEL CORE I7 9750 with GTX 1650 Super, and on two PCs. One PC is already of older data AMD FX 8350 with RX 590x and the other is the latest pure 5 with RTX 3070 The result is the same. I’ll do some more measurements. But I can’t compare from 2.11 because I don’t have any screen captures. I am only based on previous experience and testimony :(
And the game’s PC requirements have increased. Maybe to buy a new and better Ryzen 7 processor again? Probably nonsense. When it was caused by an update

It did… i redownloaded the game like a week ago fresh on new windows as well on my pc… using SSD n shit…

GTX 1070 + 9900K + 16GB RAM

Everything occed to max and stable…

And im barley looking at 80ish fps on everything low now…

Its not due to the CPU… i have beast CPU and the game basically does not use the CPU at all…it kinda just used it to load the game but not work constantly on the game…

Also im 100% sure they messed up with shader textures and shader optimizations… legit the only setting to give u boost is the shader quality… if u put it on low ur bound to have 60+ xD…

But game looks terrible and still runs like shit…

The mods keep telling us that the game is fine and its running as it is and on their end too… BUT on last few streams i remember one dev made a joke about their PC melting… which i found sad and funny… mainly sad…

Anyways… its all in the GPU im pretty sure… and this game does not properly utilize GPU… it kinda just eats the power but not spreading it properly…

At this point. I am just glad that i am not crashing since so many people still are.

Despite the flaky performance. Never crashed once on PC since release. /knockonwood

Given how poorly this game still runs on console and still has stability issues. I guess we should be glad that it’s running at all on PC.

Don’t you just love this industry? Why meet standards when you can just lower them and get away with it? Just look at crap like Marvel’s Avengers and Cyberpunk. “Not ready? Eh! Just ship it! Those idiots will buy anything.”

Can you please testify and say if the latest update 2.12 caused a decrease in performance?

I know there will be some problems with each new update. Even the technical ones. Then there are the game errors, but I will not solve this here, it is a minimal topic. This is about the performance of the game. The update was 2.11 cool performance perfect I can not complain about it. Whatever it was. Developers should be much more interested in and address the technical side of the game, not just the game’s minor bugs, although they are also as important as the technical ones. But performance is important to the gameplay and overall controllability of the entire game. Therefore, they should test released updates more and more carefully. And give them more time before releasing the next update. It occurs to me that Illfonic updates are not properly tested before being released to the world. When more bugs appear and the performance of the whole game goes down rapidly. If there aren’t enough employees people to test it, let them pay more attention to its forums. And don’t ignore what’s going on in this forum. And they are interested in the topics that are here for everyone. After all, the gaming community is in a way tested and thus helps to improve the game for the future. And then here players can tell what the game needs to be improved and repaired, etc.

The latest update brought only minimal fixes and no performance improvements. And rather, it added new bugs to the whole game and made the game more unstable in performance. Whether your PC is the latest processor or older. Even on an older PC, I had much better performance than I have now

I can testify that i lost 10 fps and upto 15fps… the UTILIZATION of components stayed pretty much same… aka being very poor…

That was actually me I think. I was playing on stream with my personal computer: A PC with 980ti SLi, 4770K, 1440p resolution, and in bad need of an upgrade. It’s liquid cooled (thus why it’s been a deprioritized upgrade, as I want to build a new system from the ground up), and I have super aggressive fan profiles cause I like to keep my system cool.

That said we are always looking at performance optimizations. We’ve had some good stability improvements over the last couple patches so I’m looking forward to carrying this momentum with other community requests.

Keep at it man… honestly the heat pisses me off even tho my pc is half water cooled and has like decent airflow + low room temp too…

You guys have never dealt with driver issues? And which operating system windows 7 or 10?

Point I’m trying to make is that my vCard manufacturer puts out tons of new drivers all the time but the only one NOT bugging the crap out of the game is an old one put out 2 years ago. What the newer driver does is chugs the frame rate if not making it crash. Plus giving me odd dimensions for windowed experience. And this is a radeon card

I have both OS win7 Professional 64bit and win 10 Home Premium

So do you think I should try the latest driver update for graphics cards, which in my case are RX 590x and RTX 3070?

My driver issue luckily wasn’t a problem so I never updated my drivers for 2years. Then I started playing phg and decided giving the drivers the most recent one. That had a problem. Went back down to the second recent. That didn’t work. Then I tried the third…forth…fifth.
I suggest really using the oldest compatible driver for your operating system first. Updating your driver, although ideal should be done, you really should just stick to the one that works even if it’s old.

So at AMD with these drivers: win7-64bit-radeon-software-adrenalin-2019-edition-19.7.1-july7

In NVIDIA: 460.89-desktop-win10-64bit-international-whql

I achieved the best result, I tried older or newer drivers, but they did not suit me in performance in a better fps result, I did not achieve. With the RTX 3070, it’s probably not worth trying older drivers because this card requires the latest. In addition, the latest update from AMD caused me some problems running the library: Microsoft Framework. So frequent driver updates have caused me problems running programs. That’s why I prefer to avoid driver updates. I just don’t want to reinstall the whole OS because of that. You don’t know what those graphics card drivers can do to you, and it’s kind of a risk. Because some issues that may come up cannot be fixed without reinstalling the OS. And this is how I once lost 7 years of installed OS. It is a long time. But then it is difficult to say goodbye to such an OS installed for such a long time.

my card is RX480 and my Radeon driver is at 19.6.2.(this version is the only one that seems to not have problems with PHG)
the latest driver as you know is 21.1.1 and i’ve tried already many different ones in between.
Im on Windows7 and dont think ill be upgrading. That OS is probably the issue.

Thanks for the type, I’ll try your drivers later: 19.6.2
Maybe I could achieve better performance. Than with those: 19.7.1-july7

What I also tried: as far as ram memory is concerned, a month ago I made an adjustment from the original (8x8) 16gb to 32gb (8x8x8x8), but the fact that fps would be on the mountain was not so true. I was based on this video:

Maybe a bad example for me. On win7 64bit it doesn’t make sense. Putting up to 32GB there is unnecessary. Rather it makes sense to win 10 you have a large ram memory consumption.

ive contemplated getting a series of ram chips that were all the same brand and frequency.
I have two 8 GB and two 4GB. Both are pretty top notch, but i dont see the difference in performence from youtube videos if i updated to all 8gb so …
sometimes you need to only spend money on what you need.
A boost in 4 FPS during some moments of battle, isnt’ worth $$$ IMHO.
