You should watch GMK and give its OST a rotation, then. Shusuke Kaneko, the director for the 90s Gamera films, directed it, and he brought his Gamera composer Koh Otani over. Amazing score, amazing film.

🤣🤣🤣
I have to watch this immediately!!!
GMK is my favorite version of Godzilla!
I’m surprised you haven’t yet, its one of the better of the franchise and widely acclaimed, mostly due to Kaneko’s brilliance. You’ll see a lot of familiar themes in this one, a lot of Japanese mythology and spiritualism like Gamera, and its a pretty jarring metaphor for the youth of Japan and how they’re choosing to forget their country’s war crimes and pretend they didn’t exist. It just sucks Toho made him complete the film in a year, he wanted three years to perfect it like he had for Gamera 3, but they wouldn’t give it to him. He also wanted to use Anguirus and Varan, but Toho made him use Mothra and Ghidorah instead. But yeah bro, go see it, like tonight.
Its so demonic and unique, I love it too. Burning 95 and MinusGoji are my top two right now, with either 91 or GMK a hard #3.
Alrighty but imma make a hot take, Godzilla 1998 was a Good Godzilla Design and I’d love to see him in more films. Been a fan ever since I first saw it, sticking through the hate, only to now see a resurrection of people liking him again.
However I’d like to see Zilla Jr if they ever return to that style of character.
I still remember his old TV Show’s intro and I’m like “This is fucking fire”
respectfully, you have a lot of bad takes but this… I WILL NOT STAND FOR!
A lovely game ghosts of Tsushima is.
I’ve only seen Shin Godzilla, but GMK was better than I expected. I found the leading lady’s performance to be difficult to hear, but it wasn’t a problem. I think the main point of this movie is the message, although it’s not limited to GMK.
I wanted to see a sequel to Gamera more than Godzilla, but I’ve heard various rumors about the sequel not being made. However, I don’t know what the production site was like at that time. (I’m just chinchin.)
