I played the shit out of AVP2
A summer spent on modding! I was one of the first modders for the first game. Using photoreference material of the hunter/city hunter and the Alien 3 dog alien. It was the most exciting moments during 1999 ?or something like that?

Anyone want to play some AvP2? The entire game is available somewhere with the Ultimate Mappack included its like 500 something maps. Community condensed the setup pretty nicely.
The low poly shit makes me noxious though. I think you could probably run AVP1 on an IPAD.lol!!
Omg, god these games were amazing. I used to mod the crap out of both back in the day. The days where mods were mere mega bites to download on a 56k dial up modem haha. Great times.
I still play the original AVP today, as theres a recent mod called Reduex, which basically is a major graphics overhaul, replacing most of the in game models with the ones from the 2010 AVP game. I modded my Pred to have customized black/red armor and same for xeno. Also used a mod not created by me that changed the sound the pred made when he was wounded or roaring in general to the maniacal laugh from '87. lol. fucked with people just hearing that laugh.

To be fair I’m not a PC gamer at all anymore as I can’t afford the constant upkeep and generally prefer consoles anyway but that’s just me, lol. Can’t mod on PS4 without hacking some shit and no.

Nah I don’t remember this game looking so bad, its crazy how poorly this game has aged aesthetically.
Still an amazing game though, so much fun!

Those were fun games , I didn’t mind avp 2010 either, its constant hacks on multiplayer though

Used to play AVP2 at work (lunch hour) with other employees over network - fun times.
It was probably one of the only pc games I actually owned back in the day , I had fun with soldier of fortune at friends houses , but avp2 was the only game I owned that would work on the brick of a pc I used
I used to play mainly as the Pred (obviously), but I remember playing as the runner alien was intense - an hour of speeding around on all surfaces (walls and ceilings upside down) used to leave me physically shaking.
Also fondly remember a group of us ganging up on the Sales Rep to sniper shoot him each time he spawned.
