The Player Observation Thread

I’ve played deez once, yeah, potato, I just don’t get why reddit hides replies sometimes

Can confirm, plays like he stands in place

Played with Deez a few times, he’s…he’s a special lad lol. He’s trying though, which is more than can be said for most potatoes.

Reading back over the weekend and we’ve had some interesting posts, notably the Nightmare builds these kids keep coming up with.

I played with that guy in pubs a few times. Poor dude would finish missions and run towards the exfill just to see “Predator Downed” message. xD

Deez he is a good player, not a potato for sure. as an FT you know you can really rely on him and as a Pred, for sure he can take out any Potato’s FT easily. He will be destroy though against a 4 squad pre-made FT

i went vs his pred other day

Wrong, 100% fried potato

boring!

Can’t really agree, from my encounter when I was playing pred he seemed quite clueless and completely out of sync with real time events

More experienced Fireteam players have different movement patterns and responses to specific scenarios of which nothing stuck me as particularly outstanding or even on par with even players within ps group chats that I’m aware of, not to say he can’t improve but the current iteration of that person is nothing to write home about despite their recent attempt at trying to reveal tips on how to find a predator by disc return trail

Well just played with him recently.

He is good (in average sense), and I’m writing because aside from he is an active and helpful member of the community, you can see he is improving. Maybe he was a potato when you played with him, but if you happen to play with him again, you can say/call an improve “potato” and soon (a few months more) he might be there up in the ranking.

I kinda want to play against an Xbox premade & see how easy it is to win. The only thing I’ve seen players do on there is killing potato Predators with knife & they somehow think it’s skillful.

He is a narcissistic dickhead in my experience.

He has a looonnnggg way to go before even coming close to “being up there” in any rankings. He gives me no trouble when I’m Pred, and he’s not very helpful beyond being bait when I’m FT.

I’ve been seeing more and more players doing exactly that. I don’t know where it got out that doing melee is somehow OP or does a lot of damage, but unless you’re a stacked Dutch 87, its not doing that much at all. I had a fucking Support trying to chase after me and knife me the other night, I laughed in plasma and made him go bye bye.

But yeah, the Xbox team I fought the other night was coordinated, they didn’t split up or do typical potato things, and they all helped each other with ammo and heath bags so they could keep spamming grenades. I wish I recorded it just to showcase that but I sucked balls in that match, despite winning. I feel like a good xbox premade is that step inbetween PS and PC, since xbox is more of a FPS/competitive gamer console compared to PS which is geared more towards solo experiences.

If they just keep spamming grenades they aren’t that good. They just sound like the average PS premade that would back out upon seeing my name.

From what I’ve seen so far it seems DEEZKNUGHTZ is just a new player going through the hoops, there are a few things to point out though

This can be interpreted as possibly some type of flex amongst other things, at worst an ego trip but at best posting out of love from the game without really knowing the ongoing problems

here are some posts to support that

Post - Assault Duelist
Post - Fireteam on Branch
Post - Predator A-Pose (Loading Model)
Post - Night Map

These are thing’s that most people who don’t know the game that well would talk about as a fresh topic but I really dont see any real ego tripping and from a recent comment it’s framed like the opposite

I haven’t seen anything too conflicting with this comment so far and right about now he’s near a turning point for most players to actively start gaining traction with hubris due to not encountering noteworthy incidents or not being able to identify them in the first place due to lack experience, I don’t really see this person being an issue for the moment but it is quite out of place for someone with this persons experience to be giving out tips to others

This person just wants to be helpful, I get it

https://www.reddit.com/r/HuntingGrounds/comments/1ibw2f9/sniping_101_vs_cloaked_preds_always_follow_the/

I think people like Bloody Yautja are much more deserving of criticism but Deezknughtz defiantly should see more perspective about the game and it’s older players should as well

I can point out something that is quite annoying however, but it is really nothing beyond that so far

That’s a lot of uploads for a new player passing through, I think they can get away with this to extent but this person simply just doesn’t know any better

I also did put together a lengthy video talking about some of their gameplay very lightly if you are starved for new content to consume lol

Upon looking through this persons footage combined with one of the games I feature, the following was observed

  • Untimely responses to Predator sound indicators
  • Untimely responses to Bear Traps
  • Lack of addressing Predator sound indicators
  • Lack of awareness towards teammate’s well being
  • Lack of knowledge towards target prioritization
  • Lack of field syrette conservation
  • Lack of weapon effectiveness knowledge

I’m sure I can go on, I don’t see a point to go that hard on this guy at the moment, seems fine but for the sake of observation I think I this will do

Oh, forgot to mention that yeah they contribute to the conglomerate of unaware cave dwellers as a whole but the problem is basically much bigger than one person and we don’t have a compiled piece of information that explains the game in a way someone can understand without experiencing something themselves

you fucking ran a case analysis on the guy lol

Whoops

Thanks for the constructive analysis on DEEZKNUGHTZ, very insightful and well structured.

What I meant (in average sense) We have alot of new unskilled players and also the casuals which is the bulk of PHG players. Only a few good and rare exceptional players. so from my observation, he is above the “new and casual” crowd.

Hope DEEZKNUGHTZ put in his 2 cents.

@DEEZKNUGHTZ what say you, in the Court of Beer?
