I didn’t ask for the definition of cheating, I know very well the position crosshair overlays are in
However you specifically saying that is cheating is interesting 😘

someone must have really traumatized you if you cry this much over a crosshair mod. literally anyone can do it with a marker and a piece of tape. consoles cant have aimbot or any of that other stuff unless they are jailbroken (which is expensive)
Just for point of reference:
CSGO Tournament Rules (I know this is not CSGO this is PHG)
No outside applications / executables / dll’s / workshop items, read ANY method of gaining an advantage over the other team is allowed in the tournament.
Scripts – All scripts are illegal except for buy, toggle, demo scripts. A team may be penalized for having forbidden scripts in their configuration file, regardless if it was in use.
Graphics drivers – Any modification or changing of the game using external graphics solutions or other 3rd party programs are strictly prohibited and may be punished under the cheating paragraph.
Overlays – All kinds of overlays which will show the usage rate of the system in any way in-game (e.g. Nvidia SLI display, Rivatuner Overlay) is forbidden. Overlays which will show only the frames per second (FPS) are not forbidden and can be used.
Custom Data – Players are not allowed to use any form of custom game files during the official matches. Only CSGO skins are allowed to bechanged. Any other changes, including but not limited to modification of sprites, HUDs, score boards, crosshairs are strictly disallowed
Let the discussion begin!!
No one’s crying—just stating facts you clearly can’t handle.
You slap a crosshair on your screen to gain an advantage the devs intentionally left out. That’s not skill, that’s cowardice. And now you’re trying to gaslight everyone into thinking it’s fine because “anyone can do it”? Pathetic.
It doesn’t matter if it’s a mod, a sticker, or a piece of tape— if you need something outside the game to help you aim, you’re cheating. And the fact that you’re throwing weak insults like “traumatized” just shows how insecure you are about it.
I like the level of your trolling) 😅 also respect that you don’t resort to insults.
I saw this a long time ago, I’m pretty sure windows has overlays too and you can basically turn on crosshair with a monitor + csgo I know has a fuck ton of custom crosshairs which crosshair overlays try to replicate walls and walls of available crosshairs,
I actually know a guy who might be able to talk about tournament rules
“HE HAS A SMALL DOT ON HIS SCREEN! HES CHEATING AND THE GAME IS RUINED!” -fairyautja 2025
i do hope you realize that you are the laughing stock of this community, throwing around accusations and ego everywhere.
it is A DOT. literally nothing has changed. people could use it and still have shitty aim. you wouldn’t understand though, because you claim “hacking” whenever someone spots you or shoots you with a single round
Thanks for posting this.
Even in a competitive game like CS:GO, any modification that gives even a small advantage is considered cheating —including crosshair overlays, HUD changes, or any kind of third-party visuals. Why? Because they do affect gameplay, and the only reason to use them is to gain an edge you weren’t meant to have.
So let’s drop the pathetic “it’s just a dot” excuse. The only reason someone puts a crosshair on the screen is to gain an advantage. That’s the definition of cheating. And the only reason this “discussion” exists is because cheaters are desperately trying to justify their behavior.
They know it’s cheating. They know it gives them an advantage. But instead of owning it, they lie to themselves and others, trying to twist logic and make it seem “normal.” It’s not. It never was. And it won’t be, no matter how many weak arguments they invent.
This isn’t a debate. It’s hypocrisy in action.
For me it is end of discussion.
Technically, you are right. Using any kind of additional software reflects a lack of confidence. One of the reasons it’s funny to me is that I’ve beaten strong players without any assistive software and with a plexitis in my right shoulder. The plexitis limits your mouse movements - you have to adapt.
i am on PS5 and have no knowledge of even how to cheat, thanks.
it is normal though. plenty of content creators do it, and nobody cares. once more, it is a dot on their screen.
but like you now, i am going to end the discussion because i do not feel like wasting my time trying to explain crosshair options.
It’s funny how you went from “it’s just a dot” to “I don’t even know how to cheat” to “everyone does it” in few posts. That’s not a defense—that’s guilt talking. Thanks for proving my point.
You specifically don’t get to spin this in any direction, let other people talk
I’m not “spinning” anything—I’m stating facts. If the truth makes you uncomfortable, that’s your problem.
If others want to talk, they can. But for me, the subject is closed. I had this same conversation here four years ago, and I’m not wasting my time repeating the same facts to people who choose to lie to themselves.
Reading this again, this is super strict the most we’ve had are small tournaments where people still didn’t know how to play
Personally if I were to organize a tournament I would probably disallow the usage of overlays but I wouldn’t actually expect anyone to use them in the first place if they were serious
Edit: Wouldn’t
I think the worst case we had was Blaze who went full tryhard with shit and the overlay usage was somewhat disgusting
K lol
Glad we agree. 😉
It comes down to what rules all the players agreed on as long as it’s not being blocked by the anti-cheats. (like the rules of the private matches)
But for me, I want to go against or team up with great players,
If that white dot/overlay makes you a play better, I’m ok with that.
I just let you talk at this point, pretty much anything technical about the game you’ve ever said is debunkable anyways besides vague shit you reference from the internet which is also questionable sometimes due to poor retrofit and subjects that were already gone over years ago
For example I think you tried to link unreal documentation to Jelou or me but I had already sent that shit years ago lmao
Yeah that’s alright to an extent, there would possibly be special interaction with me personally had a fully blown highly restricted rule set been made, there is an extreme failure in the past with an alien ruleset created by this user
This was ridiculous for its time and what we actually knew about the game
There are also people that have dived the deepest into private games and are well executed such as Samhain, Gesp, and Thunderwolf specifically and what was generated from their ruleset is both sensible and fair
They legitimately have the most quality experience and possibly most developed balance retrospective that exists
You’re not “letting” me talk—you just ran out of arguments and fell back on personal attacks. Classic move when facts don’t go your way.
Yes, I shared official Unreal Engine documentation because the game runs on Unreal Engine. That’s called using a relevant, credible source. But I get it—you and Captain NO IFs over there probably think Blueprints replaced logic entirely, right? Must be wild developing whole games without if
statements.
Also, how’s that modding career going, by the way? You cracked open some JSON files and suddenly thought you had the source code. That’s like opening a Word doc in a Notepad and claiming you reverse-engineered Microsoft Word.
You’re not a dev. You’re not fooling anyone. Dismissing actual documentation because it doesn’t fit your narrative doesn’t make you right—it just shows you’re in over your head and trying to save face.
