The base shot of the caster NEEDS to cost more energy. Or at least after vollying 10 or more shots, should send it into overload.

You’re gonna tell me a pred can shoot literally 100 (I stoped counting how many times we were being rained on) or so shots and the weaponry won’t overheat?

Personally if it needs to be changed then I would like for it to cost more energy but increase the damage. Right now a scout, hunter, or elder with modified reserves uncloaked can shoot off the regular shots damn near indefinitely, is it the most effective or safe strategy? Fuck no.
Why people don’t use full charge is beyond me as that is my main source of damage. The only times I shoot it uncharged is to destroy equipment, kill AI to help out the FT, or if someone interrupts me.
I would enjoy that trade off.

Nah I’ve used this “panic fire” tactic a few times. I’m wild and inaccurate though because I’m mainly using to to distract while I reposition. Keeps the fireteam from dumping mags into me when I’m too close coming off a quick hit melee.
Or, I do it to try and spread out bunched up FT. First shot is charged, followed by a series of uncharged to try and scatter them.
Was only a matter of time until people started using the caster like the bow though. Considering how buggy it’s been since last patch. I’m actually surprised it’s taken this long.
That is a pretty interesting strategy, idk there’s just something about hitting all four unsuspecting FT at the same time with a fully charged shot that makes it so fun. Against a good team I can definitely see the rapid shot while constantly repositioning.

This being said we have NO variety for long ranged weaponry.
Chaos is your best most effective weapon sometimes.
This is also why I’ve repeatedly said we can’t have cooperative Preds in a game mode. Imagine 3 predators doing this. You’re 12 man fireteam will be down to 2 real fast.
Oh yeah, I happily went back to the bow. Gotta “retrain” myself to stop leaning back on the caster, time and hit my shots and be patient again. Like I said though this is one of those “adaptations” from bad balance and buggy mechanics that bug me.

HERESY there are 12 of them! 3 is usually more than most Preds can handle, and your assuming that all three Preds are good Preds or work well together or communicate at all, will some Pred Teams be vicious and merciless sure but how is that any different from the Death Squads that shred Preds like green tissue paper? What if there are 12 of those guys? You think they will have an issue with 3 preds that give away their position with spammy plasma shots? And with our luck if the Pred teams drop the balancing may stay the same or turn more in FT favor.
But either way I want to hunt with my buddies NOW DAMNIT NOW!

If that was the stipulation then it would encourage you to actually play with Friends. I mean it could work and letting us decide as opposed to being put in the corner is always better 😁
