I hear a lot of people complaining about Berserker predators being op, and a lot of people complaining about the fireteam being op and believe I’ve found a simple solution.
Fireteams In a group working together are more than capable of shaming a predator berserker or not. That being said, the berserker is specialized in close quarters combat he’s meant to run in and do work take the hits and live to fight another day. The argument of these two being op, stems from both sides optimizing these strengths.
The berserker predator is op when the enemies are close to eachother, the combistick is op when the enmities are close to eachother. The fireteam is op when they are sticking together and working as a team to take down the predator.
The solution isn’t buffing or nerfing anything, it’s forcing the strategy to change. Forcing the fire team to separate and traverse the entire map keeping them moving constantly via objectives, instead of camping in town waiting on the predator to mess up will not only weaken the fire team, it will weaken the berserker combi combo.
The berserkers great weakness is stamina, energy, and stealth. The fireteams weakness is separation, by forcing the fire team to split up and keep on the move this would reinstall fear of all 3 predator classes and force the fire team to concentrate on escape instead of predator killing. It would provide opertunity for the predator to stalk, track, trap, and over all hunt its prey. The fireteam still has ample opportunity to win if they mud up play it smart, and utilize their 3 respawns.
As a whole this would reintroduce fear back into the minds of the fire team and the thrill of the hunt back in predator all while keeping an equal win chance on both sides.
