Ok so this is my first ever forums account only because i’m a massive fan of the alien/predator mytho’s, but since i’ve played the game I just have to let it out of my chest thus creating an account. So the predator feels unimportant, why do I say that? Because of the way the game portrays it; you’re a fireteam soldier sent to one of the 3 maps in order to destroy any guerilla operations with an added touch of the predator “hunting” you.
Now dont get me wrong I like this concept but this was poorly executed due to the fact of how easy it is and how you can basically speedrun through the whole thing while also being very linear and insanely short. I play both factions and lets be real over here the fireteams are heavily pandered to they got everything in their disposal and almost everything is weighted on the yautja to the point where your kills dont matter because of the fact that the soldiers gets revived even when you JUST KILLED THEM, erasing the tension between 1 pred and 1 soldier while also adding insult to injury erasing the yautja’s score. Adding to the ‘linear and insanely short’; you’re just running errands for the commander, it’s a 1-2-3 step type of mission in where you finish it in less than 5 minutes (at least I think that’s the case) and then head to the choppa (and yes I had to go there) which then baffles the player pred of how quickly they got shit done, forcing him/her in a SUICIDAL attempt to get back at them just for a few skulls literally a 35% chance of you getting one skull. That’s no fun considering that the predator sometimes loses tracks on their prey.
The yautja is heavily disrespected in this game (and also in that god-awful 2018 movie) and there's nobody that can change my mind I do have a few solutions for this, it's big but it can work. Remove the timer on the matches seriously there's nothing rewarding about it go for the dead by daylight route. Make the missions longer, tougher, and engaging for the fireteams to where there is a mission curve that should make them prioritize on surviving against the yautja now if the yautja doesnt attack at all then you can go on to your business but if they do, it's either killing it, finding a way out by finding a telecommunications device (the device the fireteam uses to revive their fallen comrades), or just by accepting your fate that you have lost against this formidable adversary. Remove the resurrection mechanics, have the yautja be able to destroy the chopper in order to prolong the hunt forcing the fireteam to find the device that I already mentioned. Also if some members do manage to get away and the others wants to stay and fight or by missed opportunity it will be the same suggestion that I mentioned before. Hopefully this reaches to you guys and hopefully you would consider these suggestions cause I really want this game to be better it has so much potential to be a great predator game, thank you and have a nice day.
