The predators are way too buffed

You’re just trash. I slaughtered six predators in a row yesterday and few a couple of hours ago. They are not buffed at all. I took a few out by combining hipfire accuracy with the minigun and light machine gun. Others I’ve mowed down with shotguns and the revolver. And today an unlucky beginner encountered me and accidentally got himself trapped in a corner where he couldn’t move and I stabbed him to death.

You just aren’t good at the game and even a skilled player with a nerfed predator will claim your noggin.

Predator supposed to be much stronger than the Fireteam. The Fireteam has respawns and teamwork to counter this. I’m sick of you people bitching and moaning. You crybabies are ruining this game.

Predators are in a good place right now, they’re challenging and not so easy to melt…but trust me, they get melted often. If you play with uncoordinated randoms, expect to get rektd. If you’re playing in a party and can’t win against any Predators, then I don’t know what else to say.
If the hand held Plasma Caster is being used by the Predator, adapt and overcome. Don’t leave clear lines of sight, use scenery to your advantage.
Stop crying for nerfs and buffs all the time, instead focus on an ever evolving game style.

I’ve come across a pretty powerful build where the pred was invisible almost the entire game and fired off about 10-15 caster shots without ever going into overload.

I’m going to test a few builds and see if I can replicate it myself.

XD I can’t even believe in such post sometimes. Idk, only brain-dead FT can consider Predator as over buffed. I mostly play 50/50 both Predator and ft. Now I’ve met only a few Predators that survived in engagement with barret. Today I played only with knife and heavy hitters and you know what - I literally stabbed 2 or 3 predators 1v1 to death. It is bull shit. Idk what a terrible person you are, if you are whining about op preds.

PlasmaCaster build is strong, but not as strong as sniper with barret. Ones I’ve shot his mask off he is losing the entire game.

Predator is only slightly stronger than the FT, and has a few tactical advantages.

It is supposed to be hard, if taking down the FT was as easy as hunting deer, then the Predators would have no reason to hunt them in the first place. They only profit when hunting worthy prey, this is the way.

That being said, I think balance is pretty good right now. I consider myself an average to above average Predator and I win the majority of my matches. This is mostly due to being up against random folks in public queue.

When against experienced randoms/duos those are some of the funnest matches. Sometimes they escape, sometimes they are eliminated, but if I make any big mistakes I am probably done for.

When veteran teams show up, then it gets interesting and I usually just hope to make a claim or two and then survive until the end.

The respawns are overkill though. A decent enough fireteam wouldn’t need the reinforcements and can still destroy a predator. But if you manage to bust your ass off killing them the game basically says “fuck you” and rewards the fireteam for dying more than it does the predator. I’m all for the FT having high damage and killing a predator easily if they work as a team. But having that, and being bullet spongey and getting second lives is just downright unbalanced.

As a Pred main, to use a quote from the movies, the door swings both ways.

A good Predator that uses traps, map awareness, and a variety of close and ranged weapons can smoke a fireteam in minutes if they do not stick together in a tight group. I’ve had some FT members immediately punish a single mistake I make, whether it’s moving too much while I’m cloaked, or making a long claim when I should have done a quick one. If a FT plays as, well, a team, they can easily dispatch a Predator.

That being said, while playing Fireteam, I’ve gotten some complete bot teammates that all go on their own and do their own thing, and then get picked off one by one, and in that case, to make another quote from the movies, shit happens.
