The third team solution

What I’m spit balling here isn’t an easy thing to implement but it’s an idea. I’m feeling like a 3rd team could help Q times and make the FT, Pred, and third team feel strong in their own ways… Xenomorphs. Here’s my logic:

Q times should be obvious since as of right now there’s only two teams and two choices. Adding in a third team that people want to play should make filling out rosters easier. Instead of large waits for predators I would imagine it would level out fairly evenly with humans still having the shortest Q time.

Game play potential can’t be understated. Right now the devs are trying to make two teams both strong and weak against each other. Good luck with that. By adding in a third team it becomes more Rock Paper Scissors. Example: aliens are strong vs humans, humans are strong vs predator, and predator is strong vs alien. Of course there’d still be basically the same current abilities of the existing fire team but if you have a third team causing chaos that could add a dynamic element.

Third team play style…rushers. This is the rusher class. Quick respawns with a glass cannon style play. They can borrow the trees and leaps. Rely on speed and pack tactics. They die easily but high damage with acid blood damage. Give them pheromone site so they can see both pred and human.

The intended outcome is variety. Perhaps the pred might keep the humans alive and focus aliens or vice versa. Change it up and give all parties something else to think about. There could be a variety of alien types such a runners, xenos, etc. If you wanna get fancy give the lead alien player the ability to molt into a queen.

I’m just spit balling here on ways to find balance. With two teams both looking to be the baddest, right now harmony seems impossible.
