A lot is different with this one. The story will consist of the 9 main films.
It will have 20 planets you can explore spanning across the entire saga. Each planet will change depending on which film you select. So for example if you pick attack of the clones and go to the Lars homestead on tatooine it will be there. But if you come back during a new hope it will be burned down.
You’ll be able to upgrade your ships and customise them. And fly in space.
Now here is something that is really cool. The game will have dynamic events that will be different each time. So let’s say you’re doing a smuggler run, you can get ambushed by the empire and choose to partake in a massive space battle or try and flee. Star destroyers will appear from hyperspace and you’ll be able to take them down or fly into them and explore their interior similar to OG BF2. Apparently you can do this with the death star too. They gave an example of an encounter that can happen differently, they said that there can be taken raider attacks on villages and sometimes there’ll only be a few of them and other times there will be swarms of them. Apparently the enemies will attack you and respond differently to you depending on what kind of character you’re playing.
It’ll have 250+ characters and 150+ vehicles.
The combat is way more in depth this time with an over the shoulder camera for shooting and shooting certain parts of the enemy will inflict different amounts of damage and can blow their limbs off. Lightsaber combat will now have different combos and light, medium and heavy attacks and will feel a lot more smoother.
And the force has been completely overhauled so now you can grab objects at will, throw them, pile them up into a big ball you can throw and there will be different abilities like the Jedi mind trick which I think turns the enemies on each other and can make creatures and people dance.
There will be different side missions like bounty hunting, smuggler runs, pod racing.
The vehicles will be to scale too. Apparently the super Star destroyer is made out of over 1 million Lego pieces and you’ll be able to buy it, fly it and fully explore it’s interior by flying your ship into it’s hangar.
There’s definitely a lot more I’ve missed but this game is very different to every other Lego games that came before it and is far more bigger and ambitious. It’s basically the ultimate star wars experience but in Lego. And it sounds so fun.
