The Welsh Predator? Huh , why not?

So this just got me triggered, if anyone can explain this you’re considered a god!

Why WAS or did the writer name this predator, an Alien race Yautja, after an Indo-European family language or ethnic demographic ? Aren’t you Irish kind of offended by this?

Fuck if someone called a new predator “the New Yorker Predator” i’d be like “get the f*ck out you hotdog!”
@Scarface_1983 you’d be fanatical!

Here is the credit: * Paul W. S. Anderson for the names Scar, Celtic and Chopper.
Must have had one too many hot dogs that day or he made too much money on Mortal Kombat to give a fuck.
Its like if someone bought a hotdog off of him for 10 dollars instead of a dollar which came out to the gross revenue of MK.

From what I know:

The term “Yautja” first appears in Aliens vs. Predator: Prey , a novelized adaptation of the Aliens vs. Predator comic series. These works were formative for the Predator series for how they dig into their species and highlight that there is a complex Yautja culture with its own language and hierarchy. It strangely humanizes the deeply alien threat.

I always thought it was an hommage to Glasgow bhoys?

Oh I’m sorry 😅

Hello, as someone of Highlander descent, no not really. I don’t see a reason too. The name likely doesn’t mean literally Welsh, instead the Hunter just hunted in Whales, hence the wish title.
