There are only two genders
Technically, (mammals) everyone starts life as a female, it takes 2 months before a fetus will transition to male through hormonal interactions. Typically, in humans, the Y chromosome, will trigger a difference in hormone levels that produces traits that we associate with being male. There can be variations in these gene groupings such as 47, XXY OR Klinefelter Syndrome, 47, XYY (Jacob’s Syndrome) , 47, XXX (Triple X). There are several variant disorders which include Tetrasomy X, Pentasomy X, 49, XXXX, 48, XXXY, 48, XXYY, and 49, XXXXY. They are believed to be under diagnosed. The Y chromosome is shrinking over time, so there will, in the far future, no longer a Y chromosome at all. We will have to evolve a new sex gene, to trigger development of male traits and hormone production, such as testosterone and others. The gene responsible for sexual dimorphism is not on the Y chromosome, it is only activated by it. The roles we assign to sex are also fluid, and cultures around the world have different ways of sharing the responsibilities of staying alive. Many species of animals have both male and female sexual structures, and some can switch from male to female based on population and environmental factors. Finally, whip tail lizards are 100% female, and basically clone themselves for reproduction by adding extra chromosomes to their gametes.
There are only 2 genders. No inbetween.

When are people going to realize that the abstract labels we use to describe the world around us aren’t actually the real world. Man, woman, they, trans, fluid, and all the rest are only labels we use to describe ourselves and others. If Sam thinks “they” describes themself to others better than calling themself a him or her, then it’s a useful label.

Down syndrome is an extra copy of the 21st chromosome, not a sex chromosome.
That’s not what is being said. This is how someone describes their identity in reference to gender norms.
Even a women can’t neglect their child if they aren’t producing milk. There may be a day in the future where someone with male genes could take hormones that induce the production of breast milk. Male nipples actually have the capability already. Just not with the volume of a typical female breast, obviously.
My only point is that this conversation is much more complicated than only making everyone choose him or her.

Nope. Again that was about neglect. The trans woman could have purchased an artificial breast for feeding if she wanted to safely have that experience with her baby, and there would be nothing illegal about that.
You’re trying to pretend a male, that identifies as a woman, is equivalent to denying the limitations of your physical body. These aren’t the same thing.
