Found this on reddit and never expected to see smoke grenades turned into bang snaps just from lower res settings. I expected it to be easier to see but it’s like it isn’t even there.

I tried playing it on a console and felt like I was looking at a book having its pages slowly flipped. I’d rather have effects be able to be turned down then play at an unstable 20 fps.

Yeah, the 20 fps sucks, although most of the time works perfectly fine, only when too many AI’s draw near, the fps start to drop. It’s badly optimized on console but at least he can’t see through smoke and we can’t see it when it is invisible.
I never even knew the FT was suppose to be able to see the smoke and I regularly use the smoke grenades lmao

What exactly is the point your trying to make here though? You do realize that just because its lower graphical setting for you does not mean thats what others see right? Failing to understand here

You’re missing the point entirely. People on PC are able to lower their effects settings where smoke doesn’t affect them at all. Even very old games of 10+ years will still obfuscate someone’s vision in low resolution. This is very clearly terrible design.

No, it’s a “this should be fixed” post. This can be used as an advantage by either side. What I’m not entirely sure of is what exactly your argument against it is.
Even on high settings you still see enemies through the smoke…As far as I know the predator has no smoke bomb
Yeah it’s exactly the same, can’t even tell the difference.
The whole point of this is that when you throw a smoke grenade not only does it impair the Predator vision but it impairs YOUR vision as well. This allows trick allows you to see the predator and shoot him unlike when graphics settings are at high.
The problem with you kids is you see a video or see something on reddit (lol) you come to whine about it on the forums as if you personally have been affected by it…Stop being a lemming yes it was a fun game but limits
This may come to a great shock to you but smoke does not impair your vision…I take it you don’t play fireteam often.
Anyone else realize you can stand on a hill with settings on low and basically see all the way from one compound to the next? The lack of foliage and the removal of the smaller trees/shrubs is insane for sniping and tagging leaps lol.

You claim that I’m whining about this issue, I’m not. It has never affected me as either FT or Predator. Not to my own knowledge anyways since I can’t see the other team’s screen. You’re somehow attributing seeing a video from reddit as any different as seeing it on this forum as if that changes the content of the media at all. It’s the exact same video and image which shouldn’t change your perception regardless of where it’s posted. If anything I’d suspect you’re easily manipulated if your first instinct is to de-value any form of media simply because of the location.
Did you ever notice there are two sections on this forum for feedback and bug reports? What exactly do you think the purpose of those sections are? Granted this isn’t either of those sections. However, are you trying to tell me I’m a lemming by pointing out an issue in hopes that bringing awareness to it leads to one step closer to providing an even playing field for everyone? I play FT probably about 30% of the time and I’ve been blinded plenty of times by a FT member’s smoke grenades. If you’re just going to spout nonsense you may as well just tell me to get off your lawn. You’ve brought zero substance to this discussion aside from “hurr durr this is from the reddits lol”.
