Fantasma happened lol

Yeah, I know and I supose we all know that things like Israel and Palestine, stuff like that are a tough political delicate subject to debate. But is a damn gaming and game forum.

Is it OK if the devs bring Arabic(Muslim) commandos or Russian special ops for people to be happy?

Hmm, would be great for diversity actually. To add different type of background fighters. From all over the world.

I am not too good with forums(to search and all). But would like to see what you are talking about just out of curiosity.

That’d be legit actually if everythings playable. Hamas, syrians, kurds, SS, soviets, iranians, saudis, native americans, colonials, hutu, tutsis, no bias lol

Let’s not get over our heads here. Nobody would want to have characters like terrorists. Such as Islamic state shit.

Just sayin’…

All of the above have committed war crimes

Anyone who played COD and no russian’d would disagree with you. MW2’s probably the most popular of the franchise and you participate in the mass shooting of an airport. Its a video game.

That was actually my point in those comments, I suggested a nazi predator lol kinda what seemed to start the fire but I’m alright with discussion. I wouldnt want anyone being banned over their criticism of Israel, or for the joe biden predator. Shits hilarious both ways.

Well the war crimes during war and even under bad regimes is a very wide and very broad aspect of conflict here overall.

For example, war crimes were committed by the vast majority of armies of nations in the span of the World War 2. And usually those abuses happened from the offensive sides.

What I was talking about is actually not putting on a pedestal extremist or terror groups. That is all.

Well, the nazi predator is just as sickening and also funny or a dark type of humor as a Stalinist one would be for example.

Dictatorships need to be ridiculed and parody is allowed in the sense of a discussion for laugh.

No Russian was definitely a terrorist, extremist mission lol.
No different than if it was an american airport or anywhere else gunning down civilians.
Manhunt or Hatred doesn’t glorify serial killers its simply telling a story not a propaganda peice, yet neither are parody. 1st mission of hotline miami 2 is a playable rape scene.

Can’t control people’s sensibilites.

I agree completely. If we get an idf sniper on fireteam, let’s just go all out on scumbag units. We got a viking predator, does anyone wanna hear about how nice and totally non-bloosthirsty they were? Like seriously why are we suddenly pumping the breaks? We can discuss things without needing to be babysat to make an extreme minority of people comfortable.

Yes, you do. But the event you are talking about in cod is a scripted event first of all, and second you are infiltrated and part of intelligence and belong to the group in cause that you see and play, in order to bring it down.

Criticizing that would be something equivalent and similar to things like “a double agent or spy memoire wants to be publicate while being part of a terror group he infiltrated in the middle east or anywhere in the world, as example, but the actual events who are historical inspired heavily by known facts and known those things happened and the person in cause was under duty did what it had to do to bring down the group…should not be published because is offensive!” which is censorship and no big steps away from a regime of terror and oppression thst you had to fight against in the first place.

This oversensitised things we are facing lately can easily slip into chaos if misinterpreted very easily. So we must be very careful when we promote the “offended” type of culture because truth can be offensive in most cases.

Would you feel offended if the U.S. For example would be under fire for war crimes did in places like Vietnam, Japan or other places and times in history? Would you ban the truth?

If you so, you have a problem. So is with that CoD game and scene where people don’t see the forest because of the trees. “OMG he is killing innocents as part of a terrorist groups, is offensive!” Nope, is conflict and war…and he was not actually a terrorist more than a man in service of international security trying to bring my down a terror organisation!

Yeah vikings were the OG rape & pillagers, maybe its ok as long as its not a government?

I just think pearl clutching the morality of video games like a soccer mom is a silly position. Its like whining about a SAW movie condoning torture. If its an M-rated game or R-rated movie they can do whatever they want.

You can push the trigger button and kill innocents its not a cutscene and not just a portrayal of an event as the player can be an active participant. No difference. Strange Hatred gets a bad rap when you can go into GTA and mow down civilians without reason

Almost what they want. Let’s be serious…some things can be too extreme including for the docile and understanding audience.

Nah film, books, games & other media portraying extreme violence and controversial subjects is fine. Anything else is censorship.

So is up to you as a user if you wanna shoot and kill or not. LeL…

All with the sensitive stuff in terms of games or anything it all comes down to: Ok you want an experience that shows this or that, then buy it. If not then don’t.

If you don’t feel comfortable with violent video games, then don’t buy it! Spare the rest from your sensitive misery.

Aside that, I see you people like to cherry pick a lot. That is a very devious way of trying to have a conversation and understand somebody with the quotes.

Cherry picking is a logical fallacy so don’t take things out of context or beware not to. Try to get the full message or picture when actually engaging with people. Is not nice…

A minor observation
