Pred and FT require strategy. This is not a FPS.
FT needs to work as a team to be effective in any case. FT needs to remain in reasonable close proximity. If even one person strays off course, it wont end well for some or all.
Pred needs cunning to win. This means hit and run tactics or patient targeted moves or controlling the environment or ambushed assaults and all of the above sometimes.
Im constantly seeing threads about nerf this and buff that. Now some of these claims hold some merit but I see a lot of just plain trash stuff. Self-Destruct needs a buff? pleaseā¦ spotting needs a nerf? just stopā¦
Do not try and play this game like its call of duty or battlefield, u will lose and u will have zero fun. This is a mind-fuck kinda game. Pred needs to instill fear and hopelessness with every move, any error can lead to desperate actions which may work, often donāt.
FT needs to do the objective. We all know the pred is out there but use that. Try and give off the illusion that youāre oblivious to its existence. When he strikes thatās when you react, FT skill in this is what tips the balance. If you have been staying close, you can shut down any of the above mentioned tactics or significantly lower their effectiveness thus surviving longer.
Too often I see pred committing to suicidal actions that second wind on first engagement.
Too often I see FT abandoning their teammates or spreading to far out which leads to quick claims.
This is for the quickplayers, a group already has the strategy.
With games like battlefield for example u can get away not being a team player because there is so many ppl and a few bad apples donāt make a difference a lot of the time.
Here its different, you will lose, you will not have fun and you will being making threads about how things need to be patched when in fact your strategy and state of mind need the patch.
I know its difficult in quickplay. It is possible for you as a member of the FT to make ZERO mistakes and still lose.
That being said, many times one FT member can sway the tide. Try using those random FT mates as bait, waiting for the pred to come in swinging then you strike.
Think like the pred, only one person needs to activate the objective mostly. It takes practice and patience but the game is not broken. Fine-tuning sure, partiallyā¦ but by no means un-playable or un-winnable.
I also strongly recommend that you turn OFF crossplay, this āfeatureā is appalling. Its like playing hockey with one team has ice skates on and the other doesnāt. The platforms (PS4/PC) are not equal, there are pros and cons to both but for competition sake its not viable.
If you bothered to read this wall I really hope you take this into consideration and try and apply it to your gameplay. It really helped me start winning as pred and FT.
