This game lacks "The Hunt"

I know I’m not the only one to think this, but these matches feel very quick. Yes I know that it’s easy for the Predator to win, but I want to actually hunt in this game. I want to take my time, stalk, observe and attack when I feel it’s appropriate.
After playing the game for a while now on both sides, I think that this games lacks the ability to properly hunt.
I had a match where I got to the objective before the Fireteam, alerted the guards, set up motion detectors and traps. I purposely acted slow, and stalked and waited for the right time to strike. I did, and got a quick claim. One team member managed to run to call in a reinforcement. During this time I got another claim, but then right after, the reinforcements were called, all my work was undone while the Fireteam was stocked right back up and i lacked a Medkit and half my health. I ended up getting another guy down but had to retreat to avoid getting second winded. By the time I healed up, the Fireteam had called the Chopper and after that it was a game over.

This game is very fun but its so quick and the missions seldom give reasons for the Fireteam to split up.

I propose three ways of fixing this.
One option is, allow the Predator to be able to shoot down the helicopter. This will force the fireteam to run to another exfil to call for another chopper giving the predator a little more time to hunt down the remaining squad if needed. It would also draw a tense conclusion to the match.
Another option is instead let the Predator spawn on the map before the match begins, allowing for time to roam around and set traps, and get a feel for the controls. When the Fireteam is ready, the Helicopter will spawn in and trigger a visual cue and audio cues to let the Predator know where they are spawning.
The third is just simply make the objectives take a longer time to complete or just have another mission, and have them make The Fireteam split up more.
There are missions where they do have the Fireteam split up, but I’ve played about 50 games so far and I’ve had at most 5 where I have to split up, and it’s pretty much just that river mission.

You should also get more experience the more you actually “hunt” and “stalk” your prey. Like the longer you look at the Fireteam, the more experience you get. The longer the Fireteam is alive the more experience you get.

Anyway, hope you guys like my ideas.

I would agree. I’ve already said the same things about the game being waaaay too rushed on other posts.
I ended up saying that the game should just be called Human Rushing Grounds.

But you are absolutely correct. There is no time to do anything. If you’re the predator, you literally have to rush from the very beginning of the game to the end which pretty much gives no allowance to actually “hunt”
You aren’t afforded the opportunity to take methodical actions and planning.
Sometimes it gets to the point where you are so rushed that you just have to rush in and hope you can melee the whole team to death before you die from bullet holes… but from what I’ve experienced, you never survive.

I like to look at it like this, if I’m hunting a big ass bear, a dangerous animal. I’m going to be more careful with my actions, stalk them maybe, plan what to do… I’m not going to just rush up on the bear with a knife and hope I can kill it. Odds are, the hunter will die… because seriously, who the Hell hunts like that.
That’s basically what this game is like. It forces you to rush the entire time into the jaws of death. Especially near the end when the fire team can call a chopper in as little as 3 to 4 minutes.

If anything, these games need to be taking an average of 30 minutes if a fire team or predator isn’t outright killed by foolish actions.

Or something I proposed in a post I made. There can be this quick play for people who might like the unrealistically rushed action for some weird reason.
But there should be also be a survival game mode with bigger maps for a better hunter and prey experience so it may take longer to track your prey or as the prey avoid the predator while still completing some little objectives like setting up traps for a predator or something along those lines… But have this survival mode with no time constraints at all. Victory goes to whoever kills who first. And perhaps have the proposed survival modes be bigger lobbies. Maybe perhaps 8 humans vs. a predator or even 2 predators.

But anyway, back to the original topic. Yes, everything is just way too rushed.
I’ve played more as the fire team as well and it’s just not fun because it’s too easy and fast.

All you have to do as the fire team is focus your mission and go to the chopper and that right there makes the predator rush the whole time that they get careless and make mistakes that no skillful hunter would do.
I’ve won like 95% of the games playing as the fire team as well. It’s not a challenge.

I’ve been taking it upon myself to try to slow the gameplay down by keeping them busy at each location. Sometimes it works well, sometimes FT is a freight train just sprinting from one point to another. I like the stalking/hunting gameplay and do my best to get long battles started by breaking their focus on objectives.

I think illfonic will have to pull a Ubi on this one…

and work towards bringing out ‘the immersive experience’
