I know I’m not the only one to think this, but these matches feel very quick. Yes I know that it’s easy for the Predator to win, but I want to actually hunt in this game. I want to take my time, stalk, observe and attack when I feel it’s appropriate.
After playing the game for a while now on both sides, I think that this games lacks the ability to properly hunt.
I had a match where I got to the objective before the Fireteam, alerted the guards, set up motion detectors and traps. I purposely acted slow, and stalked and waited for the right time to strike. I did, and got a quick claim. One team member managed to run to call in a reinforcement. During this time I got another claim, but then right after, the reinforcements were called, all my work was undone while the Fireteam was stocked right back up and i lacked a Medkit and half my health. I ended up getting another guy down but had to retreat to avoid getting second winded. By the time I healed up, the Fireteam had called the Chopper and after that it was a game over.
This game is very fun but its so quick and the missions seldom give reasons for the Fireteam to split up.
I propose three ways of fixing this.
One option is, allow the Predator to be able to shoot down the helicopter. This will force the fireteam to run to another exfil to call for another chopper giving the predator a little more time to hunt down the remaining squad if needed. It would also draw a tense conclusion to the match.
Another option is instead let the Predator spawn on the map before the match begins, allowing for time to roam around and set traps, and get a feel for the controls. When the Fireteam is ready, the Helicopter will spawn in and trigger a visual cue and audio cues to let the Predator know where they are spawning.
The third is just simply make the objectives take a longer time to complete or just have another mission, and have them make The Fireteam split up more.
There are missions where they do have the Fireteam split up, but I’ve played about 50 games so far and I’ve had at most 5 where I have to split up, and it’s pretty much just that river mission.
You should also get more experience the more you actually “hunt” and “stalk” your prey. Like the longer you look at the Fireteam, the more experience you get. The longer the Fireteam is alive the more experience you get.
Anyway, hope you guys like my ideas.
