I agree that they shouldn’t overtly generalize, it sets them in an awkward position to defend… but the reason why that would be their reaction is more important than the reaction. If someone say says something that isn’t intended as a threat but it reads that way, they have as much right to react to it as you or I.
Sharing that you are trans, is not forcing anything on people, it’s expression and protected speech. It isn’t forcing things on people.
